This is a cake that I made for my Mom's birthday. She loves chocolate so it's a chocolate cake w/ chocolate buttercream, then covered with chocolate ganache. The flowers and the letter are MMF. I was inspired by other cakes here on CC. Thanks for looking!

The tie dye was easier than I was expecting it be and I really got the hang of it when I was finished! Flag on top with peace symbol of dragee stars. Customer wanted the cake to make the invitations. Other than my flag falling off my skewer flag pole, it turned out ok. TFL!

For those who haven't seen it, WordWorld is a tv show for preschoolers where letter come together to form whatever word they spell (i.e., the sheep character is made of the letters S-H-E-E-P). My friend's son loves the show (and alphabet games in general) and she thought it would be cute to do a C-A-K-E cake! All buttercream except for the letters in front.

this cake was ordered by a Quilt shop. The owner teaches a class called "Romance in the Afternoon" and this particular class was called "Tea and Loveletters". I was given the colors for the quilt block they were working on and this is what I came up with. Not my favorite color scheme but they were blown away so that was nice :)

I made this cake for a friend who just received the Tulare County (of California) Panhellenic Woman of the Year Award. She is a member of Kappa Alpha Theta so I incorporated their "logo pin" with the twin stars and Greek letters and their flower, the pansy. She was so pleased with it. This was my first time experimenting with drop strings and stuff for a real cake! I need to practice more but I was pleased with how easy it was to paint the RI! Fondant covered 7".

Fondant covered, RI words and piping, gumpaste bow in bride's colors. Wasn't sure if sky blue and maroon were gonna work together (reminded me of a pair of Van's I used to have in middle school) but not bad...Disco dust for sparkle, but not as apparent in photo.
