I had a lot of fun doing this one! I had crabs, angel fish, all sorts of them. I had kids stopping just to look at the fishies! SO much fun!

I made this for my little boys 4th birthday party. I used the smooth side of the basket weave tip for the buildings on the edges of the cake and smooth them with a brush where needed, for windows I piped small lines, used some left over white icing for the ice/snow effect on one of the characters. I bought the figurines at the Disney store and my son kept them as collectibles.

10" round cake, iced with boiled fluffly white icing on cake then for the red I used cream cheese red icing in a thin consitency and poured on and put the cake directly into the fridge to cool down and harden the red icing runs on the side. Positioned the candle and plastic halloween spiders crawling towards the candle. (The knife got to the cake before the camera did sorry about that jijijiji)

I did this for my son's 3rd birthday. First time working with fondant. It didn't turn out as good as I had imagined it, but I was still happy. I took out the dowel rod that was supporting one of the omniodriods arms, right before people started showing up.

I would've put this under children's birthday cakes, but it was for my husband. He insisted on Spongebob for his birthday. This was my first shaped pan cake - a little more difficult than I anticipated but not bad.

My friend requested this cake for her daughters 4th birthday. This is the second time I made this cake. Sorry for the bad picture... The cake of the side is just an extra one I made to make sure there was enough cake for everyone..

This is a cake I made for my daughters birthday last year. I used a Wilton cake pan I've had for years and just copied her favorite My Little Pony. She loved it and her friend wants one this year

Gift for a friend's child's first birthday. I don't like the look of Star tip decorating, so I used the grass tip. I like the fluffy look it gave the bear.

Made for my daughters birthday party yesterday. She turned 8 and I have made her cake every year since birth and each gets a little better than the last. Not bad for once a year practice. The cake broke so I turned that into a cliffside and river.. she wanted the fish. Objects are MMF (which I just learned about) and lollipop sticks. The roasted pig in the corner turned out great. I ran out of bags to write 'Happy Birthday' so my wife cheated and used the candy letters. :)

Made this cake for my parents ... they both turned 60 last year ... this is them and their grandkids. The horse on the table is a replica of one I've got in my window - ever since my dad saw it he's been saying how much he like it. Couldn't get him a real one so I had to do a fondant one :)

This is my son's second cake he made for scouts. We "won" this one and used it for my husband's birthday. My son and I baked the top cake in a round metal bowl and the other is 1/4 sheet. Lots of cake for the 4 of us! It was his design and he did it all except stack the cake and write on it.

Since this movie became popular with my kids as well as all others I have had many request for any kind of cake to go with it. This is made from the Wilton Lightning McQueen Cars pan covered in BC icing. Pretty simple cake lots of detail w/6 colors!

This is the very first cake I ever did (which was last year)..can you tell?? This was also a disaster. I took this picture right before the cake split in half much to my horror one hour before the birthday party! Obviously I knew nothing about constructing a cake and did not know about this website. It was for a friend so she was fine about it, she got another cake from the bakery. Her son wanted another pirate theme party again for this year's b-day. I did it differently this year..see other photo.

This was one of my first cakes I got paid for. I did it about a year ago. It was tough to do but so much fun when its for your son's friend's birthday party. The small wheels are oreos that I decorated with buttercream. The large wheels are pepermint patties. The train tracks and bottom icing is fondant. Icing on the train is buttercream. This is still one of my favorites.

This is marble cake with BC. I made this cake for someone through work and she was bringing her daughter to Libby Lu's at the Mall of American and wanted a dress-up theme. My husband came up with the idea of windows all around the cake representing different stores. We incorporated the birthday girl's name in the store names above the windows. I used a princess tiera cookie cutter for the iced cookies. The girls LOVED this cake and it was a huge hit.
