This cake is supposed to look like a pair of my daughter's favorite embroidered blue jeans...it was all free-hand (quite obviously) and I used butter cream. It was a cute simple cake and my daughter was happy, so I guess I should be too :)

This cake was created for a couple that got hitched in a meadow, by a pond, on a ranch in the mountains. The bride carried daisies and her wedding dress had tiny stonewashed denim bows going down the back.

Cake Measures: 10", 8", 6", 4". It is covered in MMF, dusted with luster dust and decorated with MMF daisies and pockets. (A close-up of this cake can be found in the Western/Cowboy Gallery Album)

This is a close-up of the four-tiered wedding cake that I made for a bride and groom that got hitched in a meadow, by a pond, at a beautiful mountain ranch. The bride wore a lovely dress that had tiny denim bows going down the back and she carried a bouquet of daisies. You can see the full cake photo in the Wedding Cake Gallery - Round Cakes, section.

BC with white cake layer and chocolate cake layer. Topper is made from fondant. This cake was for my baby brother's 5th birthday. He wanted a calf roper and this is what I came up with. My bandana pattern still needs alot of work. I got the idea from several talented decorators on this site....THANKS!

This was my first fondant cake. I used gum paste for the roses, daisies, and leaves. I used Royal icing on everything else except the blue covering. (The pocket are fondant.) You can't see it very well, but I put alot of little royal icing flowers all the way around the bottom of the cake. This cake looked yummy, but it wasn't really. I'm not real sure what went wrong, lol. At least it looked cute! I got this idea from some one else's wedding cake. :)

This cake was inspired by Boween's Western Bridal Cake. She has never-ending talent and I love her work!!!

Cake created for a little boy turning 8 years old. He wants to be a bullrider when he grows up. His Mommy didn't want the bull bucking him though...she is scared of that! LOL!!!

Cake is covered in MMF and the bull and cowboy are made of MMF with tylose powder. Everything is edible (with the exception of the ring in the bulls nose!!)

Practicing modelling figures (different positions, clothing and hairstyles). Modelling is the most rewarding BUT frustrating, annoying, disappointing part of cake decorating for me! Note to self, marzipan doesn’t like being turned into gumpaste :(

I threw this cake together pretty quick for my nieces birthday. I even used store bought frosting which I usually never do. I got the idea from a little Betty Crocker party cakes book that you get at the checkout counter.

I had a request for this cake. Just a small cake for a gag gift for the gentleman's 80th B-Day. I feel that the clothing should be lower, It kinda looks like his spine is teh crack or something, but I didn't have enough fondant to redo... I emailed my family before finishing and I got positive feedback with one or 2 note his crack is to high... So I hope they like it! Will update! Only 3rd cake with fondant... not too bad, but want the class!!! TFL!!

I made this cake for my niece who was having a 70's themed birthday. She thought it was "cool". It's hard to bake when you have morning sickness and the smell of cake makes you sick!

All BC, star on top is craft foam (my RI star cracked!). Thanks to jackson and sugarshack for inspiration! All WASC but different flavors, 1 tier is choc, 1 tier is strawberry (with real strawberries but it made it very fall-y apart-y!) with seedless strawberry jam filling, and 1 tier is lemon with lemon pie filling. I can't remember what I filled the choc layers with!
