This was my first "official" wedding cake for a relative of our son-in-law. The ivy was supposed to be smaller and on the practice cake the ivy was wrapped tighter around. But all in all it turned out quite nice. The bride was happy with it so that's all that mattered!

I made this cake for my mom. She loves raspberries. I did a raspberry fruit filling and whipped icing - very light flavor through out.

I made 2 small wedding cakes for the dinner after our ceremony at the courthouse. This was also one of my first cakes that I decorated- just over 6 years ago now. There is lilac roses, white roses, bear grass, baby's breath, and freesia on the cake. There is also ivy around the cake on the cake board. As you can see, it's not very smooth and the writing is not very good either (and hard to read in the picture), but I saved myself money and had fun making it.

Chocolate cake with peanut butter icing. PB icing doesn't smooth well at all! Maybe I can talk the bride out of it. Ugh!

This cake is all buttercream except for the gumpaste lily's. The bride wanted a very plain, white cake, except for a garland of lily's & ivy sweeping down one side... however, it was 117 degrees that day! So, I didn't completely fill-in with lily's, incase they started slinking down, which she was fine with. So, really scary delivering & assembling in that heat, I had to assemble in an office with AC & then my husband & brother had to carry it about 20 yards! But it all worked-out great! Thanks for looking!

Boring request so I added the ivy leaves and dusted them with a little gold luster dust... took picture when cake was straight out of freezer. Once it thawed the leaves were glistening, or so the bride said!

This is for my husband's job. The planter is a doctored yellow mix with buttered pecan mousse filling (VERY GOOD!). The cookies are NFSC with royal. The "dirt" is crushed oreos. Logo done freehanded and definitely needs improvement. Had fun making anyway....one more under this newbie's belt! LOL! Hubby said guys at work loved it and "took care of it" right away! LOL! Thanks for looking!

This couple wanted "green swirls with leaves" and here is how it turned out... just like ivy (which matched their cake napkins perfectly).

4 11x15 sheet cakes, 3 8x8 squares, all butter cream castle, turrets and detail work in fondant. The cake board is covered in fondant and impressed with cobblestones, the moat is blue fondant encrusted with blue sugar sprinkles. When finished this was over 27 inches tall and weighed approximately 100 pounds. This cake was donated to the cub scouts for their annual cake auction/fundraiser.

For DH's grandmother. Photo collage edible image (my first one) and gumpaste Calla Lily (thanks CC for the tutorial). I just did a simple Ivy pattern all around and a small one around the bottom border.... if anyone has any suggestions on this I'd love them. The '95' was done in RI trying a Toba Garrett tech of satin stitch and then I dusted with Gold Luster Dust. Wasn't what I had pictured in my mind but it came out well I think. The cake is the Pina Colada Cake Mix cake here on CC. Enjoy!

This is a 12 inch petal pan on bottom, t orted and filled with cream cheese and pecans. The top is a 6 inch round also torted. The cake is frosted in vanilla buttercream in entirety and the image on the bottom layer is an FBCT of wedding bells. I chose red velvet because the shower colors were Burgundy and Silver. ( Christmas wedding ) The topper was given to the bride to be for her and her husband to be to enjoy alone. It was accented in minature deep red roses as well as ivory minis & ribbons.

I really hated the topper when they gave it to me. So I followed the ivy design on it and adapted it to the cake. I think it came out pretty well.

I did this cake for my CUBS-obsessed bf's birthday. It was my first time attempting to use fondant as well as multi tiers. I had a little trouble with the larger cake bulging at the seam, but other than that I'm reallyh happy with the way it turned out. Cake is chocolate and buttercream, and topper is fondant and royal icing. Thanks for looking!
