My boss asked me for a cake for his son, he said He loves bible quiz, play piano, the movie RENT and he will get an I-Pod for his birthday so I had to come up with something createve, cake vanilla with almond BC and edible immage, all accessories fondant.

This was made with buttercream for a "KISS" fan. I used a large paint brush to smooth it out & try to make it look "real". I didn't have time to paint on the silver luster dust as I had planned, but I think it turned-out okay! Thanks for looking!

Just a basic chocolate cake (which I cooked in roasting tin (yeah I know but I'm new at this so my equipment is limited!). Covered in fondant and then a thin chocolate cake made into the iPod and put on top and then more fondant twiddly bits to finish :).

1/4 sheet cake cut in thirds and stacked. Then carved slightly at the top to round off edges. Frosted in buttercream. Fondant handles, pocket, bows and trim painted with silver luster dust. Silver dragee accents. Buttercream inital logos. Fondant ipod.

This is for a girl's 13 year old birthday party. It is covered in MMF. Need to practice more on piping on fondant...don't like the way the letters look. Otherwise, I was happy with how it turned out.

This is a cake that I made for my brother. The Zune is basically an ipod but from Microsoft. The cake is Devil's food with mint filling and Chocolate Crusting BC for the outside and all fondant accents. The ACDC is airbrushed and writing is with edible food writers. Thanks for looking!!

This cake was made for my daughter's 17th birthday. It was supposed to be a fondant cake, but at the time I was still having trouble working with my MMF so we ended up switching to BC at the last minute. The shirt is modeled after a real t-shirt for my daughter's favorite band. The logo was done using a pattern and letting the chocolate harden on wax paper. I just peeled and placed on the cake. The Ipod is made with MMF fondant and painted with watered down paste coloring. (My DH designed the Ipod)

this was done for a 14 year old's bday. She drew a picture of the ipod body and what color she wanted and what she wanted on the screen. I added the ear buds for fun. BC icing with fondant accents

10x15 Chocolate enhanced formula w/chocolate mousse filling and chocolate icing. Decorated with fondant and buttercream. Cake was for a doctor at the hospital I work. I was told the doctor had his employees take turns standing in line to purchase his iphone on the 1st day of sale. So, this cake was ordered for his birthday. He was so impressed not only with the cake but ESPECIALLY the detail. He called his wife to come see the cake. Now I will be doing their monthly birthday cakes. Thanks for looking

I did this for my nephew's 18th birthday. I was having a hard time trying to think of something for a guy. I saw this on this site by Scourtney. Wasn't even sureI could do it. Thank you Scourtney for your inspiration. Your cake was great. It is carrot cake w/ vanilla BC and MMF accents.

White cake with strawberry filling and buttercream plus fondant pieces. For a young man who kept refering to his 'sweet' 16th birthday, so his mom wanted that to be put on the cake. Thank you to all the previous ipod cakes that CCers did to help me with this one. Simple cake.

I work at a residential treatment center for children w/behavior problems. This was made for one of the child's birthdays. iPods are his favorite!! Yellow cake, buttercream frosting and fondant accents.
