This was one of the first cakes I ever did, about 12 years ago. It was for my grandson's first birthday. I put real ''hunny'' in a cupcake for the 'hunny' pot. Chocolate cake with vanilla BC.

Inspired by a little Pooh Baby shower napkin - Jelly Beans were used as a tribute to the mother's nickname of Beanie. Pooh and Bees are candy clay.

My first cake for $$$. Baby's first birthday. Made this as cake top of cupcake tree. Made cupcakes with Pooh's face. Of course everything went wrong. Notice that the cake is sagging on one side. It was an extremely hot day, the customer insisted on picking the cake up themselves, and then took hours to do so. I just wanted to drop it off as soon as it was done because I just knew it wasn't going to last! Two 6 inch cakes, stacked, BC, covered with fondant. Happy with the Pooh figure on top though!

I didn't have the right ingredients at home to make my husband a cake. Emergency during holidays and went with 3 small flans (my first time too). Ingredients were soy milk, eggs and honey. The writings were in chocolate (freeze then put on top). My son and I came up with peppers theme because guess who loves peppers and spicey food.

This cake was made for my boyfriend's mom. She hates honey....it was funny. :) The kids even helped by putting the hearts on it.

Smaller 'pot is Pooh's 1st pot, so it's kind of worn and and old, the larger one is a giant hunny pot. all characters are MMF DH helped, he's really getting ito cakes, as he is finding that a lot of his building and repair skills are used in the industry!

I remember my Grandma had several beehive honey pots when I was young. She is in her 80s now and has alzheimers, I hope this might bring back some nice memories for her, if even temporarily! Thanks again to Debbie Brown, but especially Sweet_as_tisse whose bunny I shamelessly copied, it was perfect to give the cake a bit of an Easter touch.

this is my third real cake - no charge of course (must get some more practice in first!) NO EGGS, NO NUTS, NO DAIRY in anything on this cake...chocolate "wacky cake" with raspberry, blackberry & strawberry filling, my own buttercream with fondant flowers, hills and fence...i didn't try to "smooth" the blue sky, thought it would look more realistic! let's hope the birthday girl likes it - she's turning two!

This is a pan my husband just got me at a rummage sale for a $1!!! Isn't he sweet! I just wanted to make it so that I could give it to my grampa for being so sweet! (for my hubby too! LOL) You can make this bear with any colors and saying! And I used yellow gel for the honey. I love it!

Made for my niece's 5th birthday. I used a Wilton ball pan to make the bee 3D, and her head is a Hostess Sno Ball held on with toothpicks.

I made this cake for a first birthday party. This was not the original cake I had planned out
I ended up changing it at the last minute. I had to recover the center cake after I had alreadfy decorated it, I didn't like the way it looked. The honey pot was made but the cakes didn't match so I looked here for inspiration and found this would look better. I can't remember the member who posted the original cake but I will find the name and post it later. Thanks to her I was able to save the cake.

Pooh Baby shower cake is covered in MMF with royal icing "grass" to help support the layers. The beehive is made of Rice Krispie treats, covered in chocolate clay, with the lines painted on with food color. The bees and honey pot are also chocolate clay; the honey is runny royal icing! Pooh & Eeyore are the only inedible parts of the cake (other than the bees springs!)!!! The grandma-to-be CRIED when she picked up this cake! :)

this is my take on a fellow CCer's wonderful design. Mine's not nearly as good. But it was a lot of fun to make! Triple layer choc. cake, covered in fondant, Pooh is fondant over rice crispy treat, and 'honey" is BC. TFL.

Done for a church friends baby shower. Wanted to do something fun and different, and this is the result. Winnie is a stuffed animal, and the hunny pot is all cake (except for the very top.) Cake is homemade chocolate with butter cream icing and a lemon cream cheese filling. Made 4
rounds and stacked, put a bowl on top and then iced. Was pleased with the results, as was
mom!

It is traditional to eat apples dipped in honey on Rosh Hashanah (Jewish New Year) and honeycake is also a tradition. These two cakes combine the traditions. Both the "apple" and "honeypot" are honeycakes filled with chocolate ganache and covered in fondant. The "honey" is piping gel. I've learned a lot since these two cakes!
