Snakeskin Print shoe made of gumpaste, imprinted with a rubber texture mat, and painted with petal and luster dusts. Shoe templates from "Romantic Cakes" by Kerry Vincent.

Cake is 2 layer vanilla with chocolate ganache filling, buttercream and fondant covered. Mimics a shoe box. Tissue and lid are gumpaste.

First request for a shoebox birthday cake for a young lady who was turning 21. She's majoring in fashion design. Shoebox iced in bc. Fondant barcode label and receipt with edible ink. I must give credit to my DH who did the writing with edible ink. He has a steady hand! I wanted to try doing a fabulous high heel like the ones I've seen on this website. So I tried my best at sculpting a shoe out of fondant. Used pearl shimmer dust to add sparkle to shoe. I'm pretty pleased with the result.

Just another view.....further away, doesn't show all the flaws!! LOL

The 12' cake was chocolate fudge, the 10'cake was french vanilla, and the 8' cake was peanut butter. All was iced in crusting buttercream and smoothed with the Viva method. Accents were in rolled buttercream and the pink shoes on the bottom are melting chocolate froma mold. The only non edibles were the plasic high heel picks that I bought at a bakery supply store.

First attempt at gumpaste shoe using NATIS INSTRUCTIONS. Cake is 5 inch white chocolate mud cake covered in fondant strips and lid. Instructions were great and easy to follow but the execution was not easy for us and will take a fair amount of practice for us... will keep trying. All feedback welcome.

I made this cake for my best friend Valerie's 30th Birthday. It is german choc cake with choc buttercream icing. The shoes are actually little girls dress up shoes. They had a Snow White bow on them originally and I took it off and added the flowers for a "grown up" look

Gumpaste shoe, based on a shoe from the collection of Betsy Johnson. It's not an exact replica. I just wanted the customer to know the theme of the cake. I used sugar crystals to give it a sparkley effect. I think it worked ok.

A friend saw the first cookie bouquet I did and wanted one for her best friend. I was inspired by several CCers and had my DH make the cookie cutters. I used bamboo skewers and several cookies didn't want to stay on them, but I felt the cookie sticks were too wide. Thanks for looking!

Strawberry cake with cream cheese icing, covered in MMF. Gum paste shoe (my first one), MMF pearls and gloves. I had a bit of a disaster with the shoe. I was trying to close the lid on the box and pushed too hard and snapped the shoe in half! I tried to stick it back together with fondant, but I'm not sure if it held up :(
