We are celebrating everything today. All of our birthday's, Easter, St. patty's day, the whole she-bang. I got Josh started with this by icing it and doing the outline. He did the rest. This is not his first cake, maybe 3rd or 4th. He just turned 13 in February.

This was done for a co-worker's daughter Valentine's Day Birthday party. It was a homemade chocolate cake using the basketweave technique and complemented with chocolate covered strawberries dipped in sprinkles. I used buttercream icing to "glue" the hershey kisses on board.

I'm having to do this the old fashioned way (film, develop, CD, download) since the hubby has the digital camera for work, so you're going to get a bunch of photos from the past few months all together. Sorry about that.
This cake was done for a co-worker's daughter who loves Happy Bunny, otherwise she wanted a simple German chocolate cake.

Cake was decorated using buttercream icing and candy melts. I also airbrushed the top of the cake orange. The filling is buttercream flavor from Duncan Hines. Thanks for looking.

This was my 2nd attempt at a cupcake cake. I didn't figure too well on my spacing though :) I had to curve and split up birthday. I used cookie cutters for my letter shapes. It was simple and fun though. I used butterscotch cupcakes from the Cupcake Doctor book. Yummy!!

Made these cookies just to use up my icing and cookie dough. They came out so cute that I sent them in to school with my Kindergartener for the teaching staff at their weekly meeting.

This was a cake I made before I took the Wilton classes last month. It is what got me interested in cake decorating. It is Death by Chocolate cake with Chocolate Brown Betty frosting and my Mom's recipe for almond decorating icing. It was for my Mother-in-law who is a chocoholic. She said it was the best cake she ever tasted, and the first one anyone had ever made for her!

Those Wilton Smiley face candles are so much fun to work with...except when one of their little heads falls off during delivery! This was for a friend's one year old party ~ lemon cake with bc icing. Another version of "Kicking Up Their Heels" in the 2005 Wilton yearbook.

This is a yellow cake mix cake with store-bought icing for my son's birthday cake. I found the picture of the happy bunny and used piping gel to transfer it to the cake. This is a 10 inch heart shaped pan. If I had it to do over again, I'd use the round pan so I'd have had room for one of the Happy Bunny's lines.

This was my son's birthday cake. He likes the Captain Underpants books, so I went to their website, looked through the available printouts and found this one. He got a kick that it says "happy underwear day" instead of “happy birthday". It’s an 11x15 cake topped with a full frozen buttercream transfer. Thanks to Cake Central for the tutorial on FBCT!
