This was my brother in law's "shower" cake. The shower was a his and her shower. This one went with the green calla cake. His cake was chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream and rolled buttercream icing. trimmed with molded chocolates that I made. Could also be used as a grooms cake!

This was for a groom that loved corvettes! I used a 3-D race car pan to look like a corvette. It is stacked on top of a 3/4 sheet. They loved it!

The groom came up with a great idea...to top the tower with a white and chocolate cupcake for "bride and groom". They actually had made the most adorable cut-outs of a bride and groom with their faces from photographs to stick in each cupcake...adorable!!!

Based on a design on the CakesbySam website, this was a white cake designed to have the colors and emblem of the golf course the groom belonged to. His initials and nickname are going down the right side of cake. The balls have the course emblem and the tees have the wedding couples name and date on them.

This cake was done in March of '05. This is why I decided to start taking classes. I opened up my big mouth and told my best friend that I would take care of the Groom's cake for her wedding. I had no clue how to decorate cakes, just opened my mouth before I realized it! It turned out so pretty that I had to learn more and see where it will take me. So far, since this cake, I've only made maybe 6 cakes (that includes the Course I Beginner's final class cake and the Course II final cake).

I got the idea from a webpage. I don't remember if it was this one. That's my first try to make basket weave. The Groom and the Bride and also the guests loved it. it is chocolate cake filled with a strawberryjam/whippedcream mix. I don't know how it tasted, because I wasn't fast enough to get a bite at the wedding.

This is my husband's groom cake. The cake is the Whiskey II recipe from Cake Central. The icing is buttercream with a BTC transfer and cake glitter.
It was a big hit with the men at the wedding!

Really easy to do. I looked online for some, then just did them each freehand.

My brother-in-law is a bassist and actually won a guitar off the internet -- so my sister asked me to duplicate said bass for his grooms cake. It took me five days and was over four feet long. Apologies for the poor film quality -- it's a scanned image.

Here is a picture of the groom's cake I did for my husband at our wedding. He doesn't eat cake so I decided to use chocolate dipped strawberries. He loved it!

Done for a same-sex wedding today in a beautiful art gallery downtown. I also did their cupcake tower, which I will post too!

The cookies are iced in their identical wedding outfits, down to the shoe colours.

The wedding invitation had a bride and a groom building a sandcastle, so when I was asked to do the bridal shower cake, I was inspired! :) Bride and Groom are from the Celebrate with Fondant book from Wilton. Sandcastle mold is from Williams-Sonoma. Sand is crushed vanilla wafers and raw sugar. Seashells are white chocolate brushed with luster dust

Here is a groom's cake for the avid golfer. It is completely covered with fondant. The clubheads are completely made of fondant while the bag is made of chocolate cake. This was so much fun to make and was a HUGE git at the wedding.

Since the groom is a big Tenn Vol fan I felt this would do the trick. Vanilla with raspberry buttercream icing and edible image. The top said "The game ends in a tie!".

New to group and wanted to share a pic. Been doing cake decorating since May 05 and really enjoy it. Getting a lot a lip from other guys in the office cause I'm decorating. Oh Well.....

This cake was made for my brother on his wedding day. 3 tiered square cake. Bottom was chocolate, middle was white and top lemon.. covered in vanilla buttercream with royal icing roses.

Edible image on top of a sheet cake. Fresh fruit surrounds the cake board. I asked the reception hall to give me a table cloth and they said they did not have anymore!

This cake was chocolate layers with chocolate buttercream. Sugared grapes - they were so yummy! I had never done the sugared grapes and the texture and flavor is great! Had a little mishap on the front corner - a friend stuck his thumb in it and I only had the darker icing to fix, therefore it looks darker.

This was the groom's cake I did for my SIL's wedding. But could also be for a shower I suppose. I was trying to copy a cake I saw online and this was my first attempt. I had trouble with airbrushing the tree rings due to my airbrush pen breaking. The actually should be smaller around, but Oh well. Hope you like it

This was inspired by a cake put on here by sammsuts. This was for my sister's rehearsal dinner this past Friday. She is white cake with strawberry filling and he is milk chocolate with chocolate mousse. The saying on the banner is an inside joke. Everyone flipped out!

I made this cake in the final class of my level 1 cake decorating (not a wilton class). It is supposed to be a groom's cake, therefore it is a chocolate cake with various shades of chocolate buttercream icing. I was pretty pleased with the result as I am still new to cake decorating.
