Made for a wonderful friend turning 50 who has an amazing ministry worldwide. Flags were placed in the countries they work with. The script is English on one side and Tamil on the other (India). His wife wanted more cake servings for the party so we added a larger cake underneath. I always joke that it turned out to look like a UFO. Buttercream detail.

I made the globe out of cake and covered it with Chocoalte Clay. The base is a big rice Krispie treat, since that is what the honoree really missed while he was gone.

This is a white, chocolate, and marble cake. I made it for my hubby's 40th birthday. (I could not bring myself to be "mean"!!! lol) It is all BC on cake. The little man is figure piped from royal icing and the "world" is royal on a styroafoam ball. The motorcycle is a toy. Sorry for the bad pic, but it was before I got my new digital camera!!!

This is an "attempted" snowman globe style cake. The snowman is done freehand, and I obviously suffered a blonde moment in the design process as everything ended up opposite of what the picture looked like -yikes-
Anyways, I used the clear edible glitter for a look of falling snow. My snowflakes aren't the greatest, but then again I'm not perfect. I almost lost this cake -it *ALMOST* did a nose dive as I got out of our car...luckily the damage was minimal, and to the side (and after I got the picture!)

The customer's husband climbs mountains, he's going to do Kilimanjaro next month! She wanted the cake to be a positive message, he's definitely not the over the hill kind of guy. I used the sport ball pan for the globe (lemon cake), tracing paper for the continent stencils, bc frosting. Red sticks are where he's trekked. Base is 10" WASC with rasp. whipped cream filling, also bc frosted. The flag says "50 Years Young" and the base says "And Just Getting Started".

This was a specialty cake I made for my niece's school Earth Day celebration. It's all buttercream. It was challenging to make but it was worth it just to see how proud she was to carry it in to school.

This cake was created for Pangaea Cafe' & Pub, a restaurant celebrating their 3rd year in business. I used their logo (see bottom of photo) as my inspiration. The top cake (globe) is apple carrot cake with cream cheese spice filling and the bottom cake is sweet potato spice cake with cream cheese spice filling. Cake is covered in MMF and all decorations are MMF with gumpaste.

Was not happy with this cake at all. I couldn't get it to look like a book at all, the top cover kept bucking up., and the globe doesn't look much like one. Anyway it was a 11x15 yellow cake, bc and mmf accents.

This is a birthday cake for my nephew's 10th birthday. I was inspired by Astro's Space Shuttle cake. The top cake has no artificial colors, flavors or preservatives. He wanted a space theme so there are Meteors on the bottom and Galaxies in the middle. The top 2 cakes have peanut butter BC (Thanks sunflowerbagel) and the bottom has oreo pudding. The globe is covered in fondant.

This is a 10" with an 8" on top separated with the Wilton globes. The cakes are iced in buttercream. This is the first time I used the all Crisco recipe (no butter) and I had a terrible time getting the frosting smooth. Not sure what I did wrong? Anyway, put Swiss dots and ribbon on the cakes.

I made this cake to celebrate Earth Day. I'm proud of how my little continents turned out - they were tough to trace and cut out. Two 8" chocolate cakes with white, fluffy icing. Blended two fondant colors, purposefully swirling the blue for water.

I copied these from Mangiamangia's design...I took a few more liberties with land masses...I'm not a student of Geography. The cookies are for an "Out of this World" 8th birthday party. NFSC with Antonia71 icing. The little boy loved them.

This is my first wedding cake. It's WASC covered with buttercream [decorators buttercream] and covered with Pettinice fondant in Ivory. The layers are 6, 10 and 14 and I used Wilton's Globe Pillars. The cakes were dusted in Wilton's White Pearl Dust--generously [will have to get some of the good stuff...this was impulse]. It's not perfect but she loved it--the taste and overall look!

This was a cake for a first birthday of a boy who had already traveled around the world in his first year!

The earth is fondant covered devils food cake and the base is red velvet with cream cheese frosting. The travel figures on the side were made from gum paste molded in a clay set of travel figures...you can't see them all, but there were planes, luggage, boats, and cars. The globe is just resting on a plastic solo cup that I cut to size, which worked really well.

I made this for my brother-in-law for Easter last year. He's not the flowery/frilly Easter Egg type, so I made this featuring his beloved dogs and John Deere.

He collects globes so this was the perfect cake for him. I used two half ball pans and cut one of them to be flat to make the bottom (so it wouldn't roll!). It's frosted with whipped frosting (yeah, not exactly smooth...) and then I used fondant for the continents and painted them.

This cake was for my daughter's bday. Very simple cake, 2 9" rounds stacked. Found a globe for the topper and mini dolls dressed in costumes from around the world. I had fun carring out this theme.
