Just messin' around, always thought these were beautiful and figured I'd give them a shot. Pretty easy to do, the only issue I had was not making the ends of the wires long enough to attatch to eachother once they were dry, but I just wrapped a long wire around the base of all the individual pieces to hold them together and it worked out ok.

I am so proud of this cake! I hand sculpted Eeyore. Everything is hand painted. This was my first try at gelatin butterflies and I did not use a mold because they are on back-order! :( lol I will get them soon! This was for an International Order of Rainbow for Girls Installation of Officers. Her theme was Eeyore. Thanks for looking!

I finally tried the gelatin flowers that I saw posted in a forum here. They were so easy and they are a fresh change from typical flowers. Unfortunately, they're not edible (they're formed on floral wire) but I'm getting over my "everything on the cake must be edible" issues.

My Wilton instructor gave us free reign with the design of our final cake, providing we did it stacked or tiered. I used this chance to try gelatin flowers. I felt like I needed to do something on this cake that we learned in the course so I made the leaves in cornelli lace. I need to work on smooting my icing and will have to stack / tier a few more cakes before it feels natural but this was fun!

This has been one of the cakes that have gotten more compliments. Directions from the Woman’s Day website (Fun-In-The-Pool Cake). It’s 2 8-in layers. The top one was hollowed out. I covered them all in buttercream and then made blue Jell-O using the quick-set method, filled the pool, and into the fridge it went until it was completely set. I used mini M&M’s for the tiles because I couldn’t find Chiclets. Bears are Teddy Grahams that I decorated with royal icing. Toys and towels were made with assorted candy

Made when my oldest Granddaughter was expecting her baby girl Mikayla. The nursery was done in a garden theme so I used that as the theme for the cake. Gumpaste picket fence, Hydrangeas and the baby, the fairy wings are wires shaped and dipped into clear gelatin.

This is my 2nd attempt at a wedding cake. It's covered with fondant and has RI accents and fondant pearls. The flowers are all gelatin. The roses are in two different shades of purple and the orchid I used white and purple. I also made gumpaste baby's breath as a filler with the flowers. Thanks for looking.

I made this cake for a friend's mom for her birthday using a cool new technique to make gelatin butterflies. Outside the class I haven't done these before. I'm very pleased with the way they turned out. This is actually the back of the cake, but I think it gives a better view. The butterflies are in a "swooping" pattern over the entire cake. I also used some of JenniferMI's quilting techniques on the sides as well as her white chocolate fondant -- awesome!! Thanks Jen!!

Fondant covered groom's cake to match the groom's tux. Fondant had to be gelatin-free for Hindu wedding, so I invented my own recipe using agar. It was different, but turned out good.
