This is a three-layer cake done in buttercream with fondant trims.  I have a small cake business and a website, and am wondering if I offered detailed instructions on how to make these and other similar cakes, if they would sell and for how much.  I need honest opinions!

The top (bun) was a 9" layer of cake, on a cake board.  Middle of burger was pound cake. Bottom (bun) was the other 9" layer of cake. Used cylinder 'plastic' dowels in middle, as I recall,  to hold weight of top cake.I put a dowel through entire cake, so no slippage while transporting. I punched out all the sesame seeds from G.P. flower cutter;  then airbrushed them for 2-toned effect.  Also, airbrushed the bun.  The lettuce, tomato, and onion were made from fondant. French fries were fondant and airbrushed

Used 3D ball halves for body and rice krispy treats to mold head.  Not real excited about the way this one turned out but hopefully customer will enjoy it.

I did this cake back shortly before I finished Wilton 1, for my nephew's Luau-themed birthday party. I used the Wonder Pan for the top, overfilling it so it reached the maximum 8" diameter.  For the base tier I used a 9"x3" round pan.  The French Buttercream icing was piped on in a shell pattern, then smoothed slightly with a hot spatula to give it the texture you see in the side.  The shell pattern was not smoothed beneath the raspberry filling/lava.  The sides were airbrushed.

My first attempt at a whimsical and a stacked cake...So much work, but fun to make.  vanilla BC w/mmf decor, french kitty was sculpted of non-edible clay(courtesy of my sis)each tier was a layer of vanilla and choc w/choc ganache filling...mmmm

I made a cake for both my co-workers and one of the likes to fish and the other likes orange roses and both like cookies and cream so I came up with this cake.  This was my first ice cream cake.  I'm still a beginner so I didn't get to really detail it.  Everyone at work loved it!!

This was a cake designed to match nursery bedding.  The icing was white chocolate flavor with pink toile edible imaging sheets attached to top and sides with baby's name centered on top.  Accented in pale green buttercream.

Here is my Hot dog cake. All cake and buttercream except the fries and condiment packets. What do you guys think!!!! Am I good enough to promote myself yet????

This is called a croquembouche (kroh-kem-BOOSH) made of gerbet macaroons which are made from powdered sugar, egg whites and almond meal.  Absolutely addictive when filled with a ganache or marmalade.  My favorites are the pistachio and the orange marmalade macaroons.

I was just practicing some flavor combinations but ended up selling this cake anyway! Used some flowers left over from my Wilton class (great to have those on hand!) The cake is either chocolate w/ oreo cookie filling or vanilla w/ oreo cookie filling - don't like oreo in the vanilla so I ended up using French buttercream vanilla as the filling instead. Cake is 6 in. Oh yeah - iced in French buttercream - YUMMY but couldn't get smooth.....

This cake was one that Nicholas Lodge taught.  I loved making this cake.  It taught me a lot.  Sorry it's not really clear.  For some reason it gets blurry when I put on this site.

I made this cake last minute for my boss's daughter.  I hated the result, but she loved it.  I used the mini egg pan to do the balloons.

I was asked by a bridal magazine to create a cake with a "La Vie en Rose" theme to it this year. Rather than go the traditional route of gumpaste roses, I wanted to do something else. I researched antique French wallpaper patterns that had roses as the prominent theme and came up with designs for this 4-tier wedding cake.

I was so excited to show you guys...but I felt I had to wait until the magazine issue came out this week, just in case it infringed on their publication rules or something! Thanks!!

This is a chocolate cake with chocolate mousse filling.  The top is iced in BC and the sides are iced with the chocolate syrup icing recipe from this site.  This is my first time making it, it tastes just like Betty Crocker's canned frosting.  The hammer is made out of fondant and the nail heads are silver beads.  You definately need a big glass a milk to have go with a piece of this cake, it's so rich.  Too bad I won't get to taste it.

This is an 11x17 inch French vanilla cake and an 8 inch half ball cake torted with peanut butter mousse and chopped Reese’s peanut butter cups and frosted with vanilla whipped cream butter cream. I made this cake for a friend for her son's birthday. I tried to duplicate the one imbkay13 did, but mine didn't turn out as nice. Oh well, at least my friend was happy with it. I'll have to try this one again when I get a chance. Practice makes perfect, right?

i made this cake for my good friend's father's birthday. it is an orange creamsicle poke cake with french vanilla filling and frosting and a fbct. i used pearl dust to give a little something to the border (it's supposed to look like waves).

My very first wedding cake!  Boy was I a nervous wreck until it was there and set up.  The cake was French vanilla and the filling was almond italian meringue buttercream.  The cake was frosted with vanilla italian meringue buttercream.    Pretty simple design, but I was still nervous until it was all done.  Thanks for looking!

For my daughter's first birthday we threw a Marie Antoinette themed party for our little tyrant. This was her cake everything from the sugar fluer-de-lis to the white chocolate crown was editble. The cake was white with a raspberry custard filling and the frosting is rasperry buttercream, the real version which was difficult to work with in AZ. The pinks were a little bolder than I would have liked but I am still pretty proud.

Cake I made for my Course 3 Final.  From the Wilton Course book called Tower of Flowers.  Please excuse the bump in my fondant...just as I was pulling into class the cake slid off the seat and hit the floor.  
The actualy cake is French Vanilla with Raspberry Whipped Creme Filling

This cake is for my daughters 1st birthday.  The eiffel tower is covered and piped in buttercream (this was her smash cake). The bottom 2 tiers are covered in fondx. The middle tier has fondx and choc. fondant accents. The bottom tier has white chocolate picture frames dusted in gold luster dust w/ edible images in them. It is trimed w/ chocolate fondant balls.  The little girl is made from fondx and has pink sugar crystals as her necklace and trimming her flower on her belt and her shoes.

This is a royal icing eiffel tower, thank you to rtsml for the awesome template and directions.  Everything else buttercream.  This cake was for a French teacher that my mom works with.  She loved it, she said that it is not as common in France to have personalized birthday cakes with names on them.  Sorry for the crappy picture, I was in a hurry and didn't have time to set up the appropriate "backdrop".

This was my county fair entry,  I was awarded Best of Show and I couldn't be happier. I am so excited about the win, I keep pinching myself! The cake is 10",8",6" dummies.  Covered in fondx.  RI eiffel tower, RI scroll work and trim.  I used fondx for the showgirl, frames and drape work for the top tier. The images are edible. I did diamond impressions on the 2nd tier and trimmed them with sugar crystals.

3D burger made from 3 6" cakes, iced with traditional buttercream and fondant accents.  'Fries' are made from the No Fail Sugar Cookie dough reicpe.

This cake was for my aunt and uncle who just opened a to-go restaurant.  11x15x2 buter pecan rum cake with butter rum buttercream.  If there was any more butter...LOL.  I piped a red blob of  "ketchup" for the fries after I took the pic and then forgot to take another pic.

I got a call Tuesday night  from SIL on behalf of the company she works for - ordering a birthday cake for a lady at work that they need  on Thursday.  The lady loves hawaiian flowers and has a bright personality.  Her last name is Frye and they've nicked named her French Frye.  Some of the people at work wanted the Hawaiian flower theme others wanted the french fry theme (easy combo, right?).  After going back and forth, we went with the flower cake originally planned, but added the "French Frye" twist

This cake was carved out of a 9x13 pan. It's French Vanilla with Almond Buttercream. For the various "parts" I used candy - Pull&Peel Twizzlers, Skittles, stick gum, Rolos, and gumdrops. The center hole is made from mmf.  Quiet easy and fun to make! :-)

Toba's glace over butter cookies. I made these for a friend who is retiring. I thought they turned out cute, so I wanted to hurry up and post them. I just finished them 10 minutes ago.

This is my second fondant covered cake. Covered in strawberry marshmallow fondant that I made. Got GREAT reviews! The flowers are made from fondant as well. The cake is french vanilla with almond buttercream under the fondant.

Here's a design based on an 1880's French velvet  embroidery. I wish the wood base idea would have come out better, but not too bad.  Just some concept art between actual cakes :)
