This was my first fondant cake. Flowers, hearts and pearls are made of fondant, outlined in buttercream.

I was given a picture off of the modern Bride website and asked if I could do it. I thought that it looked simple but elegant so I took the job. Boy was I wrong. It took me weeks to figure out how to stamp the letterson it, and it was my 1st attempt with fondant, and stacked construction. The top was their monogrammed initials, the 2nd said Love and laughter, the 3rd said Happily ever after. Oh, and the bow, ended up not being edible, that was a disaster, but I only charged $150. I almost went in the hole.

A chocolate cake topped with rolled fondant. The roses were made out of MMF, that's why it didn't formed that well. My first time making such cake.

This is my first attempt at seriously attempting to use fondant (MMF). I practiced covering 1 cake before this one. Then, I used this as my real practice. I'm doing a wedding cake in May, and would appreciate any and all feedback. The wedding cake will be square though, so that will be my next attempt!

This was my first fondant cake which I made in my Wilton Course III class. I had lots of fun making it, but I hate the taste of the box fondant. I will use MMF instead for any other cakes I make.

This was my 1st attempt to make something out of fondant. It turned out pretty good, considering that I was in a rush to finish it! The black was colored in using edible markers.

Bottom 14" dummy cake, 10" offset , 6"....6 and 10" strawberry banana cake with banana cream filling covered in fondant. bottom tier diamond pattern, middle tier 3 dot swiss, top random dots....I was not pleased with my pipng and fondant was not as smooth as it should have been . I think my buttercream coating was too thick......

3 tier white fondant wedding cake with pink and green (white choc) grapes and leaves made from fruit roll ups... added vines and a arbour topper.. all edable....for a sept wedding.....

The 3 tier white/ivory fondant cakes were adorned with handmade fondant pearls, flowers and leaves. Surrounding the cake were white chocolate lollypops with edible transfers of the couple's wedding photos, which were taken during/after their Las Vegas wedding. It was fun handmaking all the decorations and edible transfers for this special occasion for our friends.

Made from gumpaste. Used the picture on the cupcake package as a guide. Quite impressed with myself, stressed out a little when I told the customer I could do this, then wondered how I really would!

This is the cake to go with the cookies. Top layer is chocolate with chocolate buttercream, bottom is white with berry preserves covered in buttercream. The entire cake is covered with fondant, real ribbon and gum paste flowers.

Cake is a hummingbird recipe filled with creamcheese buttercream. It's covered in sky blue fondant and decorated with royal icing brush embroidery flowers.

This cake was made for my daughter's friend as an experiment for my first fondant cake. Here, I used wilton fondants because I hadn't yet learned how to make my own. I had a great time making it and was shocked that fondant is so easy to use, though I also realized that the buttercream layer underneath is extremely important in the overall finish of the cake.

I made this little cake ( only a double layer 6") for the granparents of the Bat Mitzvah girl. The customer asked me to make an extra small cake to celebrate the granparent's birthday. I actually used the left over fondant and cake fromt he big cake I made for the Bat Mitzvah! I made the bow out of gumpaste a few days ago, and just used it for this cake!

This is from the Wilton Wedding Dream Cakes book cover. This is the second time I've made it and both times I've adored it. It has about 200 fondant rose leaves. This was one of the more beautiful receptions I've ever delivered a cake to. It was gorgeous.

This was a cake I made before going to the Wilton cake decorating courses. It was our 1st wedding anniversary cake. We didn't have any of our wedding cake left because we got married in Europe and couldn't bring it back....Yellow cake with MMF and gelatine roses.

This is my 1st fondant covered cake. New nothing about the stuff and decided to just go for it! Cake is yellow w/Chocolate Ganache. Wilton Fondant & all decorations are made from Gumpaste. I think I did an alright job.

I made this cake for my son's christening. The bottom tier is a "dummy" cake, the middle tier is chocolate, and the top is vanilla. This was my first time to use marshmallow fondant. It was very easy to make, but it was a while before I could figure out how to roll it big enough. It was sticky to work with. Everyone loved the taste. I had to take lots of breaks to tend to my baby boy, but lots of fun trying.

This was my first attempt to use Fondant. I ended up using the MMF, which turned out perfect for the flowers! I couldn't get the icing totally smooth. But it was my first attempt.

Another fondant cake for an anniversary party. Rose bouquet on top is all gum paste. Flowers on side are royal icing.

This was the second fondant cake that I had made. The Roses are made out of fondant and were made for my mother in memory of my grandmother (her favorite flower). I used buttercream for the dots the rest was fondant. It was a vanilla cake with Lemon curd buttercream filling.

this was my third cake made! the entire cake was covered in fondant icing, the daisy's were hand made with fondant too! The top tier was vanilla cake with Lemon filling, the bottom tier was vanilla cake with chocolate mocha/Kalua buttercream filling.
