This was a cake patterned after the chosen party decorations. The interesting challenge was to do a wave of two colors around the side of the cake to match the plates and napkins. The butterflies and flowers are all made from hand piped colored chocolate.

This was my first wedding cake. As the groom was very active in the local Camillia Society, I had planned on using fresh camillias. But they would not be available for an Oct. date, so I created them from gumpaste as close to the coloring and size as I could. There are 25 varieties represented. Real branches were used to lend an authentic look to the flowers. The cake was covered in rolled fondant.

Just love these colors. Even my house which we newly renovated are based on these colors. We made this cake just for pictorial sakes for a magazine. All flowers are edible. Should anyone wish to order edible flowers... just contact me through email.

This is a simple cake I made for our showcase window using some nice silver stars for spray, and some of our signature design elements, like our lattice, edible beads, edible flower bouqets with ribbon and eye-catching topiery. Simple yet effectively attractive.. and it tastes good too.. (Well, not really this one, it has styrofoam because it was for a showcase window... ) hahaha..

I just wanted to share some Topiary Cookiepops I made in anticipation of Easter/Spring/Mother's Day. They would even be nice favors at a bridal shower. I got the idea from the Wilton web site.

The bottom two tiers are vanilla sponge with custard and fresh strawberries and the top two tiers are a rich chocolate cake with whipped cream. All flower-shaped tiers are covered in HPT ( a stabilized whipped cream) and airbrushed for the outside color. The daisys are handmade of gumpaste and the centers for the daisys were made seperate, airbrushed, and then glued onto the flowers. The letters are pre-piped royal icing that I stood up in the cake for easier visibility.

This graduation cake was a vanilla cake with pastry cream and strawberries inside. It is covered in whipped cream and has some airbrushed buttercream roses. The base of the graduation hat is cake and the top of the hat is a piece of foam board covered in tissue paper. The small purple flowers are royal icing as are the letters.

This cake was for my older cousin who graduated from college. It was a vanilla sponge with custard and strawberries. The cake was covered in whipped cream and had some gumpaste flowers on it. The base of the hat was a small chocolate cake for my grandma who couldn't eat the strawberries in the rest of the cake!

This was the final cake I made in my cake decorating class. All the flowers are buttercream. This is the second cake I ever (seriously) decorated. The butterfly is a bc transfer and the wings actually stood up! But fell during the night when I had it covered.

My son made this for his teacher who had just lost her grandfather and then got hit head on in an auto accident. He helped with the fondant (Satin Ice) and used edible markers to draw the pictures. He picked out the flowers from my "collection" that I keep on hand. She loved it!

This is my Finale Cake for the Wilton Course II class. The butterflies are colorflow. The flowers are royal icing. The basketweave and icing is buttercream. I thought it was pretty..

This cake developed cracks in the frosting and a huge earthquake-like crack down the center by the time I got home. See that picture in the Cake Disasters forum in thread called "Earthquake Cake...".

This is the right photo, I hope. I made this cake a few years ago when the basket weave cake was really popular. This cake was four tiers and each tier was a different flavor. I arranged the fresh flower topper also.

I used half of the sports ball pan to get the rounded effect for the top of this cake. The lady wanted all kinds of flowers on the cake, the sides basket weaved with no borders.
