This is a cake I did for a women's ministry meeting. It's yellow cake with almond essence. Whipped bittersweet chocolate ganache filled the first layer, and almond cream filled the second. It's covered with buttercream and cherries. The small flowers are royal icing and the roses are buttercream

This is my first big cake! I taught myself with the help from this site and help from the forums here. It's a 3 tier, pineapple filling, with the white wedding cake recipe and I used the Viva Method Crusting Buttercream icing-I used salted butter which seem to cut down the sweetness. Although the viva towel did not work-What worked was a water spray bottle. It's not that smooth, but hey, it's my 1st cake and I'm teaching myself. Thank to all who helped me with my ?'s and thanks to this site. :)

Joint party for two fifteen year old cousins. Identical cakes to serve 50...so added "fluff" to give the illusion of a more grand cake. Chocolate fudge cakes with raspberry and chocolate fillings. White BC piping. Pink accents. Fondant pearls. Silk flowers. White lights in glass bowl under flower bouquet....elevated.

My granddaughter, who was turning 3, wanted "flowers, LOTS of flowers all over the top--PINK Grandma". I made a white cake with bright pink marble throughout with fresh strawberry filling and fudge icing. She loved all the flowers.

I made this Huge 50th birthday buttercream cake for my sister in law-Thanks to gmcakes here on CC. She helped me so much. I used yellow and chocolate cakes with strawberry filling and a crusting buttercream.

DH White cake with strawberry filling. Made for my sister's co-worker's birthday. I tried something different with this one. Strawberry filling was sandwiched between icing layers in the middle. Kept the filling from seeping into the cake. I was told she tried to put off cutting it for as long as possible, cause she just didn't want to cut it. She even ran out to get a camera to get a pic before it was cut. :P

Made today for my sister's 30th birthday, which was yesterday, but we had our family party tonite. She LOVES her boxer and blacklab, so I threw together this cake immortalizing her boxer in MMF. Everything is edible except the toothpick on the balloon. This was my very first time doing any type of figure modeling. I was pleased with how it turned out, and I can't wait to make some more. Sour Cream White Cake + Vanilla Buttercream + my very own White Chocolate Cream Cheese Strawberry filling. SO good!

I used the Raspberry Cream Cake resipe found here at Cake Central for this one. It was rather fun and the whipped filling is nice and fluffy!

I did this to test techniques and recipes. Groom approved it. Bride picked out design but wanted it to be surprise for the wedding. So I did this design for the test cake. Inside it was butter recipe cake with strawberry whipped cream filling inbetween the 4 layers, then frosted with buttercream then layered with fondant. I had black die all over my hands and clothes from this. lol White fondant for the ribbon. Everyone loved the cake itself but the fondant was strange to many people.

Bride picked out design (online) but wanted it to be surprise for the wedding. Everyone loved the cake itself but the fondant was strange to many people. Not a piece of this cake was left. The bride had put the groom running away with the bride grabbing his collar topper on it. I should have gotten a picture of it all together but I got busy in the kitchen.

This is my first chocolate transfer! It needs lots of work...my piping is so shaky, and I should have chosen a smaller image to copy. We were celebrating our 3rd anniversary of buying our home, so I made a little cake. It's just a 9 in. vanilla cake, torted and filled with raspberry seedless preserves, and house buttercream from the WBH with raspberry preserves added. My first time torting a cake too. It's pretty fun! I hope to take Wilton I soon, but my family really doesn't like cake! What to do?

this is a practice cake. it was practice of torting and filling, the melvira method, and a stacked cake. it is a devil's food cake with chocolate mousse filling and bc dream frosting. i think it would make a nice mother's day cake.

accually it was made for my mother's in law birthday... But I wanted to make something spetial for her since she is so nice - so I made her this cake. bottom tier is coffe and wallnut/almond cake with coffe buttercream, second tier is coconut poundcake with coconut filling (she loves coconut) and top tier is yellow sponge cake with fruit and cream cheese filling my second wedding cake trial, I see mistakes allover it but she liked it a lot and that counts, right?;)

This is Chocolate Covered Cherry Cake from the Cake Doctor by way of BeccaKelly. I got the idea from my DH and my inspiration from klacrawford and kden3980 - Thanks! I used Cherry pie filling to fill and under the fondant. I used light brown fondant on top and then "painted" it with thinned brown and added the "burnt" touches with darker brown. Unfortunately the fondant is starting to melt! (you can't tell in the pictures!)

This is my French Vanilla Cake, 10inch Round, Torted and filled with Fresh Strawberries and preserves. The Icing is Strawberry Flavored Cream Cheese.... was for a customers Mom who was turning 84. Also, sage green scrolls and dots along sides with black pearl sprays in the fresh flowers and ribbons for accents.

This is my first and only cookie bouquet.....they take a while, but they are worth it! I used a Taste of Home recipe for the cookies. They are two layers, with a lemon filling in the center.

I made this for my dd's preschool graduation. French Vanilla cake with strawberry filling, and whipped cream bc.......I was a little disappointed at the crumbs showing thru, but overall it turned out cute.

I included edible images of my dad & fil, who are deceased. I miss my dad more than words can say! As the greeting on the edible image says, my Dad gave me the greatest gift of all, he believed in me. Anyhow, frosting is messy, very hot and humid today and don't have A/c.

Cake I made for my Course 3 Final. From the Wilton Course book called Tower of Flowers. Please excuse the bump in my fondant...just as I was pulling into class the cake slid off the seat and hit the floor. The actualy cake is French Vanilla with Raspberry Whipped Creme Filling

This is a cake that I copied from another great member (mine is not near as good). It was a chocolate cake with caramel icing, also torted with caramel icing. I boiled a can of sweetened condensed milk for 3 hours and added it to my buttercream.
