This is supposed to be an ivory cake, but it looks yellow next to the white accents. The flowers are royal icing and the fence is color flow. My first wedding cake!!!

design taken from the 25th Ann wilton book. Should have written in a straight line instead of on a wave, it didn;t come out as expected.

I did this for my level II class. I had so much fun making the royal icing flowers. I still have leftovers in Tupperware containers.

This is buttercream with gumpaste morning glories and picket fence. Not exactly in scale, but they work for me. :) I tried cutting the sweetness of my favorite buttercream by adding flour. That made it impossible to smooth. I finally gave up. And, oddly, the flour made it feel greasier in the mouth (it's a 2-1 Crisco/butter recpe).

Got part of the idea from the Wilton Fondant decorating book and made the cake springy looking for person's birthday. It's covered in teal fondant and the picket fence is white fondant cut out and sat out to dry. I glued them on with icing. The flowers are royal icing made in advance.

Well, if we had a bunny for the celebration next door, my 4yo insisted on her own bunny - pink, of course. First try with the new Wilton flower method, second try with the bunny pan. Cherry pound cake, BC icing with almond flavor, fondant flowers and fence.

Choc Cake w/BC. Recipient of this cake found my customers dogs after they had been hit by a car and she had taken them to the vet and they are doing well. Customer didn't know what she wanted except to say "Thank you" fromthe dogs (Charlie & Molly) so I had fun with it.

This was a 75th birthday cake, but I thought it would also make a great Mother's Day Cake. The cake is covered in bc, the pickets, bows, archway and "75" is all done in royal (colourflow technique). The tall flowers are done on broken pieces of spaghetti noodles, covered in royal icing, and then the flowers were done in bc. The posts were done in bc also. I was very happy with how this cake turned out, but next time I would have done my pickets abit thicker since you can see abit of the blue coming thru

This was the first fondant figure I've ever made. I dusted him with luster dust for some color, except his eyes, which I just painted the tiniest pieces fondant with black coloring gel. Everthing else was made with buttercream, including the veggies (I'm sure you can tell). If I would have had more time, I would have given him a fondant fence, but I felt I was too new at it to really "go for it"... maybe I should have =) Thanks for looking!

I did this for my best friend's rehearsal dinner. She is getting married in a field on her parents sheep farm. The lamb is made from the wilton stand up lamb pan, fondant daisies, and the picket fence is popsicle sticks dipped in white chocolate.

Here's a fun one. The clues I was given to work with were: baby pink, mint green, ribbons, flowers, garden, and ducks. Ducks were particularly special to the mother-to-be. So this is how I incorporated everything, with some help from the great folks in the forums. It's all MMF with tinted piping gel for the water. Had a ton of fun with it!

This is a step down level of my first butterfly cake. Mom didn't want anything on top, she was going to place a Pegasus on top when she got it home.

1st yr anni. living together same week as her bday- choco fence /porch/etc. Choco cake. BC icing. House is crude replica of their house. (writing on sign SUCKED, impossible to write w/ gel on choco apparently for me). Happy Bday in backyard- plus choco transfer 'fave things' (harley, dog, chef's hat, cooking utensils)- really proud of harley lol next time I wont be so rushed and I'll do a tidier job-they were still WOW cause they thought I was just going to make 'a plain ole cake' lol

I made this cake for a baby shower. It was a lot of first for me. First time using MMF (pickets for the fence), first sugar cookies, first time using royal icing. It was a lot of fun to make and my friend loved it.

Attempt to combine princesses and horses. No problem right! 10" square with a 6" round. Decorated in buttercream. Towers are papertowel rolls cut to size and then covered in gumpaste. Ice cream cones for the tops. Fondant horse laying down in grass on cake (thanks to imartsy for inspiration). It was a hit!

This cake would have been MUCH easier if I hadn't insisted on EVERYTHING being edible! White cake, chocolate frosting, sugar cookie "pickets" fondant flowers (my first), oreo "dirt" and everything else buttercream. The flower stems are "Pocky" wrapped in fondant, and I learned how to make the butterflies from the wonderful article on this site! Thank you!

This is a half of a sheet with buttercream icing. The animals, fence, tractor and veggies are all MMF. I had a hard time with the tractor and it didn't turn out exactly the way I wanted it but I think the animals made up for it.
