First time making an egg shape cake. I love faberge eggs so I decided to dress it up a bit and give it a little royal treatment :) Didn't have enough time to finish the more intricate design but I still like the result. The cake is chocolate filled with gianduja ganache and coffee buttercream. Flowers and jewels are made from gum paste. Covered with homemade fondant.

This was a 12 inch double layer cake iced with butter cream in a basket weave. I bought some donut holes filled with jelly and covered them with fondant and decorated them like easter eggs. Two chocolate easter bunnies, some peeps, marshmallow figures and malted milk eggs were placed on top with the fondant "eggs". A fondant covered dowel topped with a jelly bean and Happy Birthday banner was placed behind the bunnies. Piped butter cream "easter grass" finished the cake.

This was my 2nd Easter Egg that I did for my family. I had a lot of green frosting left-over from another cake....... so I was already part-way done before I started thinking "oh no! rotten egg!" What do you think, and be honest - it looks like a rotten egg, right? LOL... I just went with it, since it was for my own family & they just like to eat the cake anyway =)

I made all the decorations with candy & MMF. Cut MMF with cookies cutters and airbrushed. Cake is iced with buttercream and I used impression mat (first time) on the sides. Handle is wired ribbon. This was a donation that was raffled off for the cancer society.

For a friend who turned 30 on Easter Sunday. It was a chocolate ameretto cake. Delicious! Those are mini malted eggs decorating.

I made this for my boyfriends mom. They was speechless when I gave it to her, it was so cute. My mom made the beautiful bow, I still have no idea how she did it.

This is another half egg cake that I did for my family. I found this really cute plate at Target! It is iced in pecan buttercream, and the decorations are fondant, except for the royal drop flowers.

This was my first attempt at the basket effect. I had fun with this one. I wasn't too happy with the fondant "bow". I covered it in sugar sprinkles, but still didn't like it. The inside of the cake is pink, blue and yellow swirl.

This is one of my earlier cakes. I had lots of fun mixing icing for these. I made them in a batter bowl and then cut in 1/2.

I did this cake for an Easter brunch. It is carrot cake with Crusting cream cheese icing. The icing came out kinda soupy and wouldn't crust or smooth, so I covered the cake in Fondant. Bunny and eggs are also fondant. Thanks for looking!

I used half of the 3D egg pan on top of the Up and Away Balloon pan with twinkies in back. The balloon pan just needed a little bit of carving to round the edges.

My daughter Erin loves bugs. I made the wings of the butterfly out of the large heart pan and the body of the butterfly was made out of the mini wonder mold pan. The bumble bees and lady bugs were made out of the mini egg pan.

Made these for April Fool's Day this year. Got the idea from the book "Hey There, Cupcake!" White cupcakes frosted with buttercream. Yolk is fondant that I shaped in one of my measuring spoons.

By request for my sister. Carrot cake with crusting cream cheese icing. Fondant plaque with edible image. Gumpaste pearls. Fondant roping. Isomalt "amethysts". I would NOT recommend cream cheese icing for a 3D cake. Even crusting cream cheese as this one is. It is slowly heading South. I hope it will still be decorated by the time she gets here in a couple hours. Didn't have time to mess with getting the fondant ropes to adhere to the "seams" of the pillow, hence the swags. Hated doing this one!
