THIS WAS MY DAUGHTER-IN-LAW AND MY SECOND 3-D CAKE AND IT WAS A LARGE DOLPHIN CAKE MADE BY USING A VARIETY OF NOVELTY PANS. IT WAS MADE FOR MY GRANDDAUGHTERS 9TH BIRTHDAY AND SHE LOVED IT. WE WERE EXTREMELY PLEASED WITH IT AS WE ONLY STARTED DOING CAKES IN FEBUARY/O5.

Blue gel for water and buttercream dolphins. The sun looks silly; I need to take an art class! I added blue droplets of 'water' on the sides of the cake for more effect. It's posted in my pics.

This was for a great friends 12 year old daughter. She wanted a dolphin so badly that I told her I would try to make her one. It was sculpted out of a 9 x 13 pan and an oval pan I had. She loved it so much, it made it worth all the hard work!

Lady called on Thurs, wanted for Fri, and said daughter liked watermelons and dolphins. What????? This was the best I could come up with. My creative juices were not up to par. She liked it. All BC, but dolphin. It was fondant.

This design is from the wilton wonder mold as well as many ideas from this web site! The little girl wanted a mermaid and a dolphin for her birthday cake. I made the little sea creatures in the water and the dolphin out of fondant and added chocolate seashells dusted with luster dust.

this was made for one of my biggest customers and she orders this flavor often. It is a Lemon Lovers white chocolate cream cheese cake. Lemon filling between 2 layers of lemon white chocolate cake. Iced with lemon and white chocolate cream cheese. The FBCT and boarder and B/C icing and some luster dust on the dolphins to make them a little more pretty. I wish I were a good photographer because the cakes always look better in person!

My ex sister-in-law's 32nd birthday cake (it was her daughter's idea to change her age - she loved it). I made the shell by dipping a balloon into candy melts and freezing it. The pearl was made of oreo cookie crumbs dipped into candy melts and formed into a ball...more dipping until the correct size then brushed with lustre dust. The sand is brown sugar.

This is the cake I made when my husband and I got married. We had a small ceremony in the little town on Tombstone, and this was the cake he wanted.

I made this for a gathering of my girlfriends. Our birthdays are all within the next month and one girl really loves dolphins. Freddie, from this site, graciously shared the directions for her cake. I had to pretty well improvise and it is no where near as good as hers, but it was fun to make and I learned from my mistakes.

Another football helmet! The face mask is gumpaste. The bottom half of the helmet is an 8" cake and the top half is a dome pan with an 8" base.

This was a VERY HIGH 2 tier cake in BC icing. It was a grooms cake served at the rehearsal dinner. I got the two toned idea from a cake I saw off this web site!

This was for my daughter's 10th birthday. She saw a cake I made before of a Palm Tree laying flat on the cake board & she said she would like a palm tree on the beach with a sunset.... and she LOVES dolphins! So, I have an old Wilton 3D Bunny pan - I cut-away at the ears sticking straight-up to form the palm. The dolphin was carved out of another old Wilton 3D pan - the "Loveable Animal", it looks kind of like Simba as a cub. Thanks for looking!

This is my first time working with marshmallow fondant. I crumb coated the ake with buttercream then covered it with the marshmallow fondant. I air brushed the cake with wiltons spray color in blue. (unfortunately I don't own an air brush). The wave borders were made using a #22 star tip and a blue and white striped bag. The white borders were done with a #10 tip in white to look like pearls. The dolphins were piped with blue royal icing using tip #3 I then sprinkled the cake with white and blue edibl

Thanks to Cake Corner for sharing some hints with me for this cake! Although I totally messed up and was not even able to build a stand as instructed, so this cake is luckily staying home for my son because it does not have any inner support to travel with except the board inside the shark. I also broke a few of my own "all edible" rules by making the lower jaw of styrofoam and the fin of paper plate. My son will like it, that is what counts!

I made this for my niece's 15th birthday. She wanted ocean/palm beach theme. I hope she likes it!

Top tier is vanilla BC with crushed vanilla wafers. Bottom is fondant covered. All cakes are chocolate with choc BC filling. I frosted lightly the day before and let sit overnight. Also kept filling icing stiff...hope fondant does not bulge. Waves are fondant with BC outline. Seashells/dolphin/chair and umbrella are fondant.

This is my biggest project to date. I am really pleased with it!

I got this from "Ladycake"s dolphin cake. I used all piping gel for the dolphin and water. Had a lot of air bubbles. I think I will try "Ladycake"s glaze recipe next time.

The cake is chocolate w/buttercream (w/almond twist) icing. The banner is fondant decorated with edible markers. The shells are marbled chocolate. The dolphin is not edible. I found it at Michaels and thought it would be cute jumping out of the "ocean" of icing. The candles represent tiki torches and are rainbow just like the rainbows you see in Hawaii.

This cake was ordered by a woman who wanted to surprise her hubby. She wanted to celebrate their anniversary by reliving their honeymoon. She wanted a beach themed cake for the occasion. The dog is a puppy that he is supposed to be giving her as an anniversary gift. If not she has an easy one to take care of now! Chocolate cake with buttercream. Fondant figures and gumpaste chairs.

12 inch square base, 10, 8 and 6 inch round tiers. Icing is all buttercream with pearl bead accents and royal icing lillies. Swags are made of fondant. This was my first "official" wedding cake. It was a difficult cake because there were no borders, but all in all I was very pleased.

I made this cake for a friend whose daughter was turning 18 and wanted a dolphin themed cake. It was the week my husband and I were moving into our new house, so I was worried about how it would turn out. It's a French vanilla cake with bc icing and a mmf dolphin, splashes, and waves around the bottom border! I sprinkled graham crackers around the bottom like sand. Thanks for looking!

This cake was made for the last day of school for my son's kindergarten class. They didn't have a kindergarten graduation but I wanted to bring something in for them to have fun with the last day of school. The dolphins are made with color flow and the sea turtles are fondant.

The dolphins were made with a glaze and used like you would use color flow. This is for a friends birthday she loves dolphins..
