This was the very first cake I made after getting my Wilton cake-making kit. The celebration was my dad's 50th birthday party, so I was a little nervous. All the little fruit took a while to make, but I think it was worth it...

The 3 tier white/ivory fondant cakes were adorned with handmade fondant pearls, flowers and leaves. Surrounding the cake were white chocolate lollypops with edible transfers of the couple's wedding photos, which were taken during/after their Las Vegas wedding. It was fun handmaking all the decorations and edible transfers for this special occasion for our friends.

4 layers - french vanilla - lemon filling and my lemon cream cheese frosting.Tasted awesome, but the wedding was up in Yosemite Park and the drive up there was not fun with cake! The roses were supplied by the florist. They came in little vials of water, I've never done that before and you can see the front rose smashed and buldged the cake because I inserted it wrong... I'll never transport a cake to Yosemite again. Was really pretty though.

Well, this is the only real baking I got done for Christmas. The cupcakes are from a mix and the ornaments are hollow chocolate melts. The red are cinnamon flavored, the yellow peppermint, and the white are plain. My head cold and carpal tunnel really impeded my progress this year.

Chocolate oatmeal cake with chocolate buttercream icing. Last minute order asking for a dinosaur birthday theme for a 4-year-0ld boy. Found cute little critters and trees at my cake supply store and did the edible image off clipart on the net. Corkscrew candles added a little zip. LOL

This is a before & after pic I took of one of my halloween sugar ornaments. The first is a pic of the interior all piped with RI, the second is of the ornament after the two halves were put together and the border added.

A 2" sugar ornament I made. I piped the turkies on foil first, then when they were dry, I assembled the neck to the body and put it in the ornament.

This cake gave me SUCH a hard time! It was SO hot and humid the day I made it, and it seemed the buttercream was sliding and melting no matter what I did! The colors are MUCH more vivid in person. Oh, well, the person i made it for was THRILLED and that's what matters!

This was my solution of wishing "Happy Birthday" to numerous members in a family that wanted to celebrate several family member's birthdays in a two-month period. The fudge cake was iced with Kahlua ganache and Pepperidge Farm Pirouette Chocolate Hazelnut cookie rolls. I have to admit this is a quick way to decorate a cake!

I made a collage of black and white photos for a 1/2 sheet cake for a customer's husband. The photos were varied in quality and colors of black and white. A solution to this problem was to tweak the collage into a sepia tone. The cake was all chocolate; however, after the chocolate ganache icing hardened I put a thin window of white butter cream over the top surface and then laid the edible transfer that I had created. I was requested not to use any flowers/leaves on the cake - only geometric shapes!
