Carrot Cake with Cream Cheese Icing. Bugs Bunny sculpted using directions from Debbie Brown's "Cartoon Cakes" book. Many thanks to the CC members that send me those instructions :) Bugs and carrots are fondant with gum trag. Flowers are royal icing. TFL!

I had so much fun doing this cake. I got the idea from Bmote1 (Thank you so much) I agree her on the book - Debbie Brown Enchanted Cakes for Children. I love, love, love the book! I used three 6" round chocolate cakes with a ganache filling and chocolate buttercream icing. The outside and all characters/pieces are fondant. My children and family loved it and didn't want to cut into it. haha I had to cut it for them. LOL

Okay this is my attempt at the MLP cake from Debbie Brown's Lovable Character's book.... let's just say I'm not gonna put her out of business any time soon! I was trying to use rolled buttercream for everything and I'm not quite sure how to work with it yet so I was getting frustrated. The ponies peeking out of the windows are a little creepy looking - I had given up at that point and just tried to make "something" to fit in the windows.... all in all I think it turned out okay.

My friend asked me to make a cake as it is her cat's birthday (I kid you not!). I just got several of Debbie Brown's books and really wanted to try a design out, so I chose this one! I think the wool would have been better in the original fondant, but my friend loves buttercream. Cherny (for it is the birthday cat himself that graces this version!), is made from sugarpaste with a bit of CMC added for stability, I lustre dusted his ears, nose & cheeks in pink just to do something a bit different.

Made these at CA Cake Camp in class with Debbie Brown. All Gum paste with only 2 pieces of uncooked spaghetti for neck support. No patterns or molds--all hand modeled using balls and sausages of gum paste. Hair and flowers were made using the Wilton ejection blossom cutter. Debbie is a delightful teacher with a dry wit.

Spice durable cake recipe - fondant is Toba Garrett's recipe - I think it would have looked much better if my fondant had been stiffer! Still searching for a good one that holds up right! Based on a Debbie Brown cake.

Pirate Dreams. Made for my nieces baby shower, covered in buttercream with fondant waves. The topper is gumpaste, the sailboats white chocolate. The flag banner says "Ahoy, it's a boy!" Thank you Debbie Brown for the inspiration

Just a practice cake. From Debbie Browns 50 easy party cakes. Yarn took a long time, but went faster after I remembered I had bought a playdough fun factory. First time ever covering a cake with fondant, and first 3-D cake like this. I used 2 small pyrex bowls to bake leftover batter from a birthday cake. I had to round it out, but it worked very well. My daughter came and took it to share with her Goddaughters.

Debbie Brown's mermaid cake. I didn't give myself enough time, and the gumpaste figures were drooping and didn't hold shape properly. But my daughter was still delighted. ;-) I particularly love the fondant 3 on top of the cake--that's probably my favorite part, since it's the only part that quite met my expectations and vision. ;-)

Based on Debbie Brown's cake in Easy Party Cakes. I have GOT to find a better way to do those strings. Anyway...bottom is strawberry cake iced in buttercream, made to look like a ragwool rug. Yarn is chocolate from sports ball pan, covered in fondant. Kitten is candy clay. Now I have to transport the thing.....

This design is from Debbie Brown's "50 Easy Party Cakes" book. I ended up with orders for about 30 of these cakes and as much as fun as they were to do. I was a bit sick of them by the time I got to the last few. I made two flavors chocolate and pumpkin. -

These little guys are from one of Debbie Brown's books. Glad I only had to make 12, as they aren't as much fun to make as they look! I can easily cover a whole cake in fondant....but these guys were tricky!

This is from one of Debbie Brown's books. Chocolate cake with BC, MMF, and Toba Garret's fondant. Fun to make, but time consuming! I made this for one of my preschool students who LOVES cars. I finished this cake literally 2 minutes before his mom arrived to pick it up!

The dinosaur is covered in MMF fondant, but the other cake is iced in buttercream. I snagged this idea from Debbie Brown's book for a little guy who loves dinosaurs.

Thanks so much to all CC members who helped me w/ ships! I think I used bmote1's design for inspiration the most - especially the pirate! Made w/ chocopan fondant, chocolate cake, buttercream dream, a little Satin Ice. Used two oval pans & rice krispy treats for stairs. Thanks Margery, Bayamoy, & BpShirley & all others that helped me! I was up till 4 AM w/ this one!

bugs bunny cake with an easter touch. i added some eggs since it's so close to easter. vanilla with white chocolate ganache. i cheated a little bit. i run out of patience. it taked waaaayyyy too many carrots to cover the cake! so, i used orange BC to pipe most of the carrots first and the added fondant carrots on top. i love debbie brown! i have only two of her books so far, but i will end up with everything she ever puts out there.

my try on debbie brown's enchanted forest cake. it's for a family reunion easter gathering. so, i added easter eggs all over. my daughter calls it a "happy tree"?! it's a banana cake with banana BC and chocolate fondant on top. thanks for looking!

Made this cake at request of a coworker for her grandchildren. Got the idea from Debbie Brown's Cartoon Characters book. Not exactly like her cake, but inspired by. Cake is a chocolate chocolate chip cake with BC frosting. Made daffy duck and his dinghy out of MMF.

Needed to do a quick cake, so what better cake to do than one of Debbie Brown's 50 easy cakes. This time I didn't forget my camera, I just forgot to put the memory stick back in it. So once again I had to take the picture with the camera on my phone, hence blurred photo. Any way cake is really a brownie with BC and fondant to cover and for details. P.S. the little yellow things are the patels of the flower, just incase another person mistakes them as lady bug legs?

funfetti cake (lol.......my son wanted it)......with bc frosting and mmf. This is my adapted version of Debbie Brown's Enchanted tree....thanks to everyone that sent me directions I really appreciate it!!! My son loves red apples not green so hence the red apples and he picked out which animals he wanted and which ones he didn't......I made the animals a couple days ahead of time and then found out the mouse was too big for the tree's mouth....oh well....and the bee almost covers his nose lol oh well....

Debbie Brown inspired cake, for BIL birthday. He's born in year of the Pig (Chinese Zodiac Sign). Whipped cream icing with fondant pigs. Enjoyed making the pigs.

OMG! Me and my mother made this cake for my grampa's 65th birthday. This was one of our most challenging cakes taken from the Enchanted Cakes for Children book by Debbie Brown. Me and my mom have never worked with gumpaste which made the critters sort of hard for us to do. The outside of the cake is chocolate MMF. I have never made it before! The cake is raspberry pound cake with cream cheese fillings and it's 5 layers. Thank you amberhoney for the inspiration and help! Enjoy! We love it!!

Got a new Debbie Brown book and here is my first try at one of her cakes - Book Cake. This was for my sons 4th grade class. This was alot of fun. Still trying to learn how to get my fondant smoother. Practice, practice Thanks for looking!

Stacked books cake for a retiring librarian. The bookworm is fondant and so are the book covers. Each book had a title on the spine of her hobbies i.e. The Joy of Gardening. I would leave the book covers out to dry for longer next time, I didn't like how they "wilted". Original design by Debbie Brown.

This is my version of Debbie Brown's cake for my son's 7th birthday. It was originally supposed to be a Bionicle mask but he changed his mind at the last minute when he saw this in the book, LOL.

I made this as a joint birthday cake for my nephews whilst on vacation this week. Based on a design in Debbie Brown's new book 'Easy Party Cakes', but changed a fair bit to give it my own twist ;-)! 8in chocolate Madeira cake covered with fondant - had to wing this as I made it at my Mum's with none of my tools available, so I don't think I did a bad job considering :-)!

Wasn't sure how to categorize. Styrofoam cake for state fair - inspired by Debbie Brown's design, although I made a few changes. it's a broken teapot lying on it's side and the little fairy pixies are living in it. They have wings, but it's really hard to see them. I'm uploading other views as well.
