10" 2 layers each torted. Chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream filled with a coconut filling. Covered in fondant and the I used a pizza cutter to roll the dimond pattern and followed that with the small Wilton roller. Fondant rope border and fondant bows. Need to work on my bows! Crown is white chocolate. Luster dust on white things. Thank you so much carrielynnfields for your tiara pattern!!! Thanks to all the other CC members who have posted a pillow cake, I took inspiration from you all!

All hand rolled pearls froma tip #3, and silver lustre dust on pastillage. Sorry the picture is so dark. I tried to lighten it, but now it has a wierd color to it! You get the idea, though

The client's last name was "King"! So she came up with the idea of crowns with red detailing. I used red Smarties and tiny M&Ms for the "jewels" because the 40th Anniversary is the traditionally the "ruby" anniversary.

This was the worst cake I have done in a long time. I thought this pillow cake would be nice and easy, but so many things went wrong. The fondant covering the cake was not pliable enough. The Rope kept sliding off the cake even after applying a fondant glue mixture of meringue powder and water. I initially made a crown out of royal icing, but it crumbled. So I ran out to a dollar store and bought a tiara. It was really a complete nightmare. Any suggestions on how I could have improved it???

Both cakes are iced smooth with buttercream. The design on the top of the main cake was done to duplicate the plate for the birthday girl's theme. All accents are done in fondant. Accompanying purse is accented with a fondant handle and heart.

White cake frosted w/ BC. Fondant accents on pillow. Crown was made with white chocolate melts using MelC's template (Thanks!!). Overall, not that happy with the way the cake came out..think the pillow could have been bigger and the pink is TOO pink. Its for a 5 year old, so I am thinking she'll like it :) Thanks for looking.

I used the template I found under "tiara". I used royal icing and overpiped it twice. I dusted it with "cotton candy" dust and added the dragees. It was the focal point of a baby shower cake I made. I took this picture about 1 hour before I had to deliver the cake. I had carried the tiara around my house for 3 days without incident. As soon as I finished taking the picture, I bumped into the table and it broke! I tried to fix it, but the more I fixed it, it kept breaking! Joys of decorating...

Here is the baby shower cake for the broken tiara. The tiara on this cake was one I made 1 hour before delivering the cake. Obviously, the royal icing didn't set up, and when I took it off the wax paper, it bent and broke. I salvaged one large piece and put it on the cake. Everyone loved the cake and nobody could tell! I did like the rest of the cake. It was buttercream frosting with fondant flowers & leaves.

I have to thank many if the CCer's for the ideas, photos and instructions. The cake was a 10 x 10 and 6" round Cookies n' Cream and French Vanilla.

Everyone loved the cake and my goddaughter was excited because it was green, her favorite color.

I made this cake for a friend of mine. I had SO MANY issues with this cake, but the roses were fun! The girl was 8 years old and designed the cake herself. The cake is white cake with mint chocolate chips, the filling is chocolate with crushed up mint candies and the buttercream frosting has a peppermint flavor. I wish I could eat this one. I just can't get a smooth buttercream to save my life! AGH!

I threw this together for my daughter's birthday party at daycare. 45 strawberry cupcakes covered in BC. I had too many orders this weekend to do anything elaborate, but she loved this just the same.
