This cross is cut out of a 11x14 pan....the little boy knew exactly what he wanted, a yellow cake with blue buttercream frosting in the middle, blue flowers down the end, and a dove along the top, and that's what I gave him!! These were my first flowers!!

This was a cake I did for my daughters baptism reception. This was only the second time I had ever decorated a cake I'm happy to say that I've gotten much better at it.

This cake was done in buttercream. It was actually for the funeral of a family member, but would make a lovely baptism or communion cake as well. I used Wilton's cross pan and accented the base cake (12x18) with drop strings and drop flowers.

This cake is for one of my best friend's son, so I really wanted it to be special. I'm not happy with my handwriting on this one, but I've done worse. LOL Cross is a FBCT that I drew free hand and traced over.

Frosted in BC, had a horrible time smoothing for some reason. MMF crosses and rolled roses with silver luster dust. Tried the silver piping gel. Good color, but should have used smaller tip. Piping gel stained glass. Learned everything on cake from CC in the last 2 weeks. Thanks everybody!!!

This was my first time making a BCT and I made this cake just a a practice to see if I could do it. I was pretty happy with the results. I brought to fellowship after church and it was a bit hit.

I made this for my nephew's baptism this past weekend. Cake is Chocolate with Oreo cookie filling (yummy!). Fondant covered with fondant decorations. Fondant pearls were handmade (took forever!) and rolled in pearl dust. Painted superpearl dust on cross sections and medallion for added interest. Plain and simple! Thanks for looking :)

This was my first time using the Wilton cross pan. It is the hardest cake I have ever had to ice. The beveled edges are really a challnge. It was for my second cousins baptism.

This was a cake that I did for a pastor appreciation party that we had at out church. I knew it was missing something but I didn't realize what it was until Sunday morning when I was getting ready to leave for church, I didn't put a top border around my bottom 1/2 sheet. I carved the cross from 1/2 sheet cake, and tinted piping gel for the glass look.

These were some cookies that I did to go along with the cross cake that I made for Pastor appreciation day. This was a 3 cake weekend with two orders of cookies. Plus I was sick, so here's what I ended up with.

This cake is a rich moist chocolate cake, filled with chocolate ganache. Decorated in pale yellow buttercream. This is my first attempt at "Cornelli Lacework". I think it looks ok.
Chalice, bread, grapes, host, wheat and plaque are all gumpaste.

This was my first baptism/cross cake. I used a 11x15 sheet cake (yellow with lemon curd filling). Vanilla buttercream with buttercream roses. I got the design idea from this site (Thank you so much!). I even got another order for this same cake from someone attending the baptism.

This cake was huge! Cut from an 11 x 13 cake, four layers of buttermilk chocolate cake, two layers of meringue buttercream and one layer of bavarian creme (delicious recipe from this site). This was my first time making a fondant bow. Thanks to MelC for the tips on using luster dust.

8" & 6" buttercream frosting with fondant decorations. Bible and Cross are made using a foam and sticking fondant (with water) to it. Tip: when making the angels use a very long candy stick if not they will fall, that's why they are resting on the cake base.
