A quick 9X13 for our Moms Club Holiday Party tomorrow. Cookie Monster is colorflow, cookies are Cookie Crisp cereal (I think that's the name), everything else is buttercream. The cake is orange with a cranberry/strawberry filling.

This was for a little girl's 2nd birthday celebration. All the characters on the cake are made of sugar. Elmo is her favorite, so he is on top........"Happy Birthday" is in a crayon style to represent Elmo's crayon skills during his segment of Sesame Street called "Elmo's World".

Thanks Homansweets for the Sesame Street Sign idea! I'm pretty happy with the way this turned out, except for the lettering of course! All buttercream with rice paper images in balloons.

I did this cake for one of my sister's best friends. Fun to make but I had the wedding coordinator freaking out when I showed up 20 minutes before the start of the wedding... Oops! Vanilla cake with BC icing. Eyes done with styrofoam balls.

This cake was inspired by a few that I have seen on here. My 2 nephews share a birthday......although one is 6 and his brother is 2! So I decided to make a cake that would appeal to both of them. On one side is the Cookie Monster, the other side is spiderman. The party hat is on there because I couldn't get my hands on a wig head, (I had to make my own of styrofoam ball and cone) so the head kept wanting to fall off so I used a metal rode and had to hide it with a hat at the last minute. LOL

This is the small Cookie Monster pan. I had no instructions so I just winged it. It turned out pretty good and the little boy ended up with a big blue mouth.

This was my daughters second birthday cake. Thanks to this website because this is where I got the idea and instructions. Its a 12 inch square with one chocolate layer and one vanilla layer with buttercream frosting. I will post an in process photo too which really helps to see how it came together. I was pretty happy with it and my daughter loved it. My corners need some work but with more practice they will hopefully get better.

Yellow cake with canned vanilla frosting and filling. This cake was modeled after a cake the mother found at Publix. I varied it up slightly.

I got this idea from cupcake pictures from the internet. I made vanilla chocolate chip cupcakes and used vanilla buttercream with blue sprinkles. The cookie is a chocolate chip cookie, though next time I would use a sturdier cookie like oatmeal chocolate chip because the cookie absorbed some moisture and got softer overnight and a couple of the cookies broke off. The eyes are royal frosting.

My first time doing Sesame Street --with Elmo on the top. This is the first time I've done Elmo. It's for a little girl Birthday. Big Bird, Cookie Monster, Zoe are made of sugar -- color flow technique and the cookies are from a mini bag.

I used Whipped Cream Buttercream, mini marshmallows for eyes and Oreo cookies cut in half for the mouth. These are for a neighborhood block party and I thought they'd be fun for the kids to eat.

Sesame Street Babies! Buttercream cakes with Fondant figures and accents. Blocks are made of Gumpaste. This was made for my little guy's first birthday. I felt like it was a wedding!!!! I almost sliced off my thumb 1 hour before party began. I was a wreck. I regret not taking better pics of his cake..the one I'm most proud of. It was a big hit! I can't believe how hard it is to plan a party and make a cake when you have a baby! How things change!!!!
