Just a simple confetti cake - the way the groceries do it. The writing in gel began to melt because I used the pre-colored gels in the little tubes. This was before I knew what I was doing!

Not sure that you can tell from the photo, but some of the cupcakes are heartshaped. Chocolate cupcakes with real butter buttercream.

We used to do this one all the time at Publix bakery. Airbrushed effects with "silly string" sides as confetti. A simple easy birthday cake for anybody! (butter cream icing)

This was my first try at working with fondant. It was a lot of fun... I am going to try the Marshmallow Fondant next because the prepackaged fondant does not taste very good :)

Basic BD cake...I cheated on the colors and used little tubes of gel icing from the store for the streamers...BAD idea...they dripped and ran and were otherwise yukky. Just can't beat the consistency of homemade!

This was my attempt at a FBCT. I could not find a good pic of a slot machine, so I ended up using a real picture. There was so much detail that I could not get it all in. The customer was very happy with it and I guess that is what counts!!!!!! It was a strawberry cake with vanilla cream filling.

70th Birthday for my father-in-law who works at Walmart. I told him I invited all his Walmart friends (the Smiley faces). Cake is double layer yellow on top with peach filling and buttercream icing / double layer chocolate on bottom with raspberry filling and buttercream icing. Smiley lollipops are made of colored chocolate disks melted and formed in a mold.

So easy and fun!! The last time I did ALLLLL of the little flower thingies and my hands were numb for a week. This time just picked at the frosting with a knife :) soo much easier, and actually turned out cute.

This is a buttercream 3 layer cake...top layer butter pecan, second layer strawberry with homemade strawberry freezer jam filling, and third layer chocalate with candy bar filling. It was a cake to celebrate 5 birthdays, so each silver star has a name piped on. Stars are fondant with buttercream confetti over top the shell borders.

I was hired to do this cake for another department. They wanted a 1/2 chocolate and 1/2 vanilla. Its kind of lopsided but I am sure they don't care. I was asked at the last minute so I think they will like it.

This is a cake that I whipped up, spur of the moment, for my son. He called and said he needed a a cake (for himself) to take to a party he was throwing (for himself!) I didn't have alot of time, so I had to keep it simple. It was fun to do, and it turned out pretty cute. The top and stripes on the sides are edible images.

The little girl asked specifically for yellow, pink, and purple to be used as colors. Confetti cake b/c she thought it would look like sparkles inside. Buttercream dream icing. FBCT of Tinkerbell. Fondant decorations. Brushed w/ super pearl luster dust & cake sparkles sprinkled over it - can't tell in pic.

This cake was HUGE and HEAVY. Butter cake with lemon filling and I was instructed to make it bigger than the others and this was the next size pan I had. Almost didn't fit in my oven. Pulled a muscle carrying it I think...

This was a festive cake for a couple celebrating their 25th anniversary. I was told to use pink, green and yellow but given free reign for the design. My step-daughter helped with the fondant bow, etc. Not very traditional but lots of fun!

Very simple birthday cake. I wanted the blue to come out deeper, but it didn't. I need to use another blue next time. :( Basic yellow cake, soaked in simple syurp and no filling.

Here is another one to match the one I just previously posted. This one will be taken to a dinner they will be having with friends and the smaller one is for them to enjoy at home for the rest of the week.
