I did this cake for my best friend's little girl. It didn't turn out like I had planned...but she's 3. She didn't care.

Hey JoJo, Whatdya say? This is the very first cake I've been paid for! WooHoo! None of the local bakeries had anything pre-fab for JoJo, so a friend recommended me to do the cake. It's a chocolate cake, BCT of JoJo, Goliath & Croakie. Little Maggie was very excited when she saw it.

Just finished this for my son...had some issues with the fins because I didn't have time to do them right so they aren't all dry and the decorations smudged but I'll know for next time. All but the fins is buttercream.

Here's my 2nd cake from Course II....I hate the clown theme, but I think it turned out decent....I accidentally used too much pink in the icing, and it made the icing taste a bit funny, so I learned to not use so much coloring.

Cake is 10" and 6" with the top carved into a tent. Cakes are iced in BC and all decorations are in fondant. I painted the characters but next time I'll just color the fondant in the first place.

This little "smash" cake was in addition to the big Jo Jo's Circus cake I did. When I told her grandma that I was going to make a smash cup cake for the little girl and they had no idea it was going to look like this! They loved it:)

This is my son's 3rd birthday party (he had a Thomas cake) I made this with one hand after I got home from the emergency room. While making the icing for this cake, I accidently stuck a butcher knife thru my left hand. Thank goodness I am right handed but this will be a birtday for the scrapebook!!!

This is a creation that I designed by combining the Wilton Course I clown cake and the Wilton Course III tiered cake.

A friend and I did this cake for our kids 2nd birthday. We got the idea from the wilton website. Took a lot of time, but it was loads of fun. We did a "dummy" layer on the bottom to cut down on the amount of cake since we didn't need to feed 100 people!

Create a stage for the Wilton Circus Animals by using 2/3rds of a round cake on top of a sheet cake.

Pipe your circus clowns with a star tip, and add circus peanuts as a great whimsical border

I did this back in late July. I LOVED doing this cake! It was so fun.
It was a red velvet cake and the icing job leaves much to be desired!! But hey ya gotta start somewhere!

My sister-in-law had me do this one, they have a couple of birthdays a couple days apart, male and female, in their family, so she didn't really want flowers on a cake. I decided to just do one blue clown and one pink, and only Happy Birthday, instead of listing all the names, they have a very large family!!

This is the second cake I've made for course I. This was not my favorite only because I have this thing about clowns. I don't like them. No offense to any clowns out there. LOL

I'm very proud of this one. It's the first cake that I didn't feel the need to apologize for it's imperfections. I'm getting it and I'm so happy! Yay me!

I did the clown cake last night, it was my second cake in course I. I decided to use dark chocolate buttercream for the heck of it. The clowns were more fun than I thought! I think it turned out pretty cute for my 2nd one. I need lots of practice!

These are my very first cakes made in the Wilton Course I. It's funny to look at the "Crunchy" looking BC icing. That's before I learned to add more liquid to a stiff consistency to make an easy spread for icing a cake. LOL! However, it was fun to learn to make the stars and also how to make clowns with icing. Thanks for looking.

Tomorrow is my nephew's first birthday and I made him this clown cake, it's chocolate and vanilla - all in buttercream. To go with this cake I will also dress as a clown - should be fun!

I decided to be unique when it came to making this cake. I wanted to come up with unique colors. The yellow icing on the side is the natural color of the CB Neoclassic Buttercream recipe.

I posted this pic with the wrong description so here is the right one! I used the Wilton ball pan for the cake and just covered that in stars. Jojo and his lion friend Goliath are molded from gumpaste and then handpainted.

I was very proud of this cake although I had a lot of crumbs in the icing (red velvet). The instructor had us do a hodge podge of techniques. I was very helpful. I think my elephant was the best!!

This was my first cake done outside of the Wilton cake classes I took a couple of years ago. This is actually the reason I took the classes, so I could make my daughter a birthday cake that year. We learned the clown in Course 1, so that's the reason for this cake.
