This cake survived a 5 hour, 90 degree, high humidity trip to Indiana. Of course there was a little damage control after I got there. (I had my first aid kit along!) This cake was chocolate for the bottom layer and vanilla with vanilla pudding for the top covered in Vanilla crusting bc. This was a cute cake and everyone loved it! Thanks to mypastrychef for the inspiration and info!!

I made this cake for my friend's birthday. She wanted yellow cake and almond icing, but everything else was up to me! This is my first stacked cake! It is all covered in fondant.

This was for my girl's combined birthday party - they are now 9 & 4. We wanted to try something different so after going through pictures on cc and many books - this is what we came up with. This one was hard to cut, we all really loved it. I drew a lot of inspiration from Collette. It's all mmf and painted. The spirals are wires with color flow dots, gumpaste bows and roses. Lots of fun to do. Thanks for looking

Made this cake for our neighborhood picnic. First time using fondant (MMF), didn't go so well for covering the cake, but the circles worked well! Vanilla box cake with raspberry filling (recipe from CC), bc frosting with fondant accents.

6-8-10 tiers in royal blue buttercream with silver accents. The silver circles were originally going to be fondant, but due to the weather, they are white chocolate chips painted with silver luster dust. It rained all day the day I made this so I couldn't even get the buttercream to crust properly to smooth it. What a mess to make! I almost didn't do this cake because the bride waited until the last minute to tell me she needed one. But I was afraid if I didn't help her, she wouldn't have a cake at all.

There are chocolate fondant curly-q's and a topper that will be added later but I wanted to get the cake before I added them because I'm not sure I'll like the topper! Buttercream with chocolate fondant accents. I've been excited to try one of these circle cakes for a while and finally got the chance.

These sweetcakes were made to match a 6 inch round birthday cake for a little boy. The sweetcakes and cake matched the invitation that you see to the right of the sweetcakes that was designed by the little boys mom.

This goes with the present sheet cake in my photos. This had to travel 30 miles down a grade in the heat, and we had a few accidents, lol. A lot of the icing plopped off of the cupcake, and the one purple stripe tore a bit. I hated this cake at first (mainly the colors) but now it's sort of grown on me I guess.
Bottom is chocolate fudge, middle is Hawaiian, top and cupcake are orange creamsicle.
Thanks for looking :)

My version of Tink... not bad for my first attempt :) Each Tier has one layer of Strawberry Dream Pound Cake and a layer of Butter Pound Cake Smothered in Vanilla Buttercream and then topped with Homemade Marshmallow Fondant then sprinkled with Luster Dust for added sparkle!
Fairy is also made of Homemade Marshmallow Fondant.

More cut-out cookies inspired by scrapbook paper. Although it was very time consuming, I had so much fun cutting-out and decorating these! My grandma's cut-out cookie recipe and orange flavored royal icing.

Baby shower cake based off the bedding behind the cake. Didn't get to see the bedding until the shower, was just given a picture. French vanilla cake with Wilton RMF and fondant circles. I made sure I used a straw to insert the wire in to since it wasn't food grade, per many discussions on this site!

This is my final cake from the Fondant class offered through Wilton.
I did something a little different, since I did not like the cakes in the book.

Each cut from a 9X13 one white one chocolate. BC icing with MMF accents. For two sisters each flip flop had there name and age on the back. My favorite pair I have done yet. They were having a pool party and I even found ribbon to match that said pool party!

This was for my sister's wedding... the pictures a little fuzzy, but it was the best I could find. It was my first wedding cake and the first time I've done a pillar construction.

This is the first fondant cake that I have ever made. I haven't taken any classes, but learned how to make this cake by reading articles on CC. The cake is devils food with whipped white frosting. I used MM fondant to make this cake.

This was actually a birthday cake, but I think it would make a cute wedding/shower cake, with the couple's initial(s) on top. My first adventure with wired decorations.

My first attempt at wired decorations. Some bulging (from settling) on the bottom layer - in retrospect, I'd have supported the top layer better. Fondant (SatinIce) tinted lime green and brown. Top layer: toasted coconut cake with pineapple filling. Bottom layer: chocolate cake with raspberry filling.
