I made this St Louis Cardinal out of Wilton Candy Clay. It will be for a cake I will make this summer - not sure how I will incorporate it, but I have some time!

Finally, I got to put my cardinal on his cake! I got the inspiration for this cake from www.thecakecorner.com - I know she is a CC user too, but I don't know her user name. The cake is the Chocolate Layer Cake from this site, with chocolate and vanilla buttercream. The letters are color flow, the cardinal is candy clay, and the baseball is two round Creme de Menthe cakes covered in fondant!

This cake was for 3 boys who love the Cardinals. The jersey was carved out of a 17 x 12. The hats were made from the betty crocker mini bake-n-fill pan. Everything is covered in mmf.

This cake is one that my husband help design. I must say I didn't much care for it but he thought it was awsome. It is supposed to look as though Albert Pojous(sp ? ) number 5 for the cardinals just hit the ball which is busting through the cake. The friend I made it for knew right away what it was and loved it, so maybe it was just me.

This cake came from inspiration from MsSugarBaker (the hat) and meghanb (the cardinal). All fondant with buttercream accents. I added "2006 World Series Champions" on the bill since the won the title the night before I had to do the cake. I thought it was fitting. Thank you for the inspiration!!!!

I made this cake for my son's Birthday. He is a huge Cardinals fan. I made Rice Krispie treats into balls and covered them with rolled fondant to make the hat and the baseball. I used rolled fondant and an exacto knife to cut out the St Louis Cardinals logo.

My mother, Catherine McClung, is the artist of some holiday dinnerware by Lenox china called "winter greetings." She is having a luncheon tomorrow and wanted a cake to match her china. I hope I did her proud! I was really afraid the cardinals would look "cartoonish." I am doing another one of these for a friend of hers at the end of the week and I think I may do something a little different on the top tier. The cardinals are chocolate transfers. I traced the image off of the bowl that I had.

This cake is similar to another one I did earlier this week. It was done to match the "Winter Greetings" Lenox china pattern. My mother, Catherine McClung, is the artist who designed the china. The cardinals are chocolate transfers, the pinecones are royal (penny sue's method) real ribbon because I don't have the knack for fondant ones yet.

My daughter turned 14 and didn't really want a theme party, but I did! So I told her to pick anything! She chose Tigger! But as the party came up, the Cardinals were in the World Series, and they were playing that night! We had to modify! I hand drew the jersey on Tigger and my daughter printed up signs off the internet! Ironically, the Cardinals were playing the Detroit TIGERS, so we needed to address that! If you look closely, one of the signs says, "In spite of my tail, I'm a Cardinals fan!"

I fell in love with this picture a while ago and couldn't wait to put it on a cake. This is a 1/4 sheet cake that is 1/2 white and 1/2 devil's food chocolate. The frosting and decorations are all buttercream. The sides are imprinted with a diamond impression mat and a white snowflake is drawn into each diamond. I used a #2 tip to drape strings of icing of various lengths from the top border and down the sides to resemble icecicles. I then sprinkled the top with glitter for a frosted effect.

I made this for my Grandpa. We are big St. Louis Cardinal's fans. I realized as soon as we were getting ready to cut into it that I forgot the laces on the baseball. It was my first time torting & I used a chcolate ganache filling. It was alot more work & none even noticed. I won't be doing that again. But everyone loved it so that was great.

This is a baseball themed groomÂ’s cake for a St. Louis CardinalÂ’s fan. The base is yellow cake covered with white fondant, and was then dusted with cappuccino and mushroom colored petal dusts to resemble dirt. The baseball is solid white chocolate and the baseball bat is solid dark and white chocolate combined. The grass was created using butter cream icing.

This is a groom's cake designed for a bride who attended the University of Kentucky and a groom who attended the University of Louisville. Instead of the common...."House Divided", I went with "A House United" for these newlyweds.

The glove is a 6" cake cut in the shape of a glove and covered in fondant.. I saved the top piece when I leveled the cake to use as fingers for the glove (saw a similar idea on CC).

NFSC with RBC and RI accents. Was inspired by yankeegal's design. Cardinals are very close to our hearts in our family! Made a few to take along with the patriotic cookies for a picnic on the 4th.

Made for a 5 year old little boy. modeled after a cake by Helipops (thanks for the help!) He loves Pujoles and he was turning 5 so that made the number extra special. French Vanilla cake with buttercram and MMF accents. If I was to do it again, I would outline in royal icing instead of piping gel. Not crazy about the shiny effect and it was very difficult to control.

This is the cake I made for my dad's 50th. birthday. It is a white almond sour cream cake and and chocolate fudge cake covered in MMF. My dad is a couch potato and a huge St. Louis Cardinals fan, which is why there are royal icing cardinals on the side of the cake. The custom cake topper is made from polymer clay, which was made by a seller from EBay. This was my first attempt at using any kind of fondant and my first attempt at using dowels and stacking cakes.

cake is white, made from the Wilton sports ball pan, into a baseball, with the STL Cardinals logo piped on, and grass around the border of the ball. My husband actually helped with this one, I guess since it was a man's cake, he thought it was cool to help me. He freehanded the STL and also did the seams.

This was for a party that was over July 4th weekend but the theme was St. Louis Cardinals. I transferred the logo using the piping gel method (before I knew about BCT!). I wanted to do something to reference the July 4th holiday so using an idea from one of the Wilton's Yearbooks, I made sprays of royal icing stars by attaching them to white floral wire using the icing. They sort of resembled fireworks!
