This is a cake that I made for my sister's 20th birthday. It is a white cake with buttercream icing. My inspiration for the design was from a patterened Easter egg on a plastic bucket I had laying around the house. I have began to look in the strangest places for cute patterns and designs that I can duplicate onto a cake. She loved her cake. The border is made of smal cake balls. They are her favorite. I was rushed to do them, and would have rather made them more colorful, but just ran out of time.

Here is a cake ball Christmas Tree.. I seen someone here made one. I thought I have to make one.. I had no stryofoam cone.. So I used a stryofoam cup.. dipped in chocolate, turned it upside down and TA-DA.. A cake ball Christmas Tree.. After I put the cake balls on the tree I sprayed it with Wilton green icing spray.. Then drizzled white chocolate and add crushed peppermints and of course my childrens Christmas Mice..

This cake was made with chocolate fudge cake, filled with peanut butter filling (recipe from CC!) and iced in chocolate ganache butter cream. Decorations were fresh yellow daisies and cake balls. The cake balls were chocolate cake with peanut butter dipped in dark chocolate and french vanilla cake with fresh raspberry dipped in white chocolate.

These are oreo cheesecake and chocolate fudge flavored. The baby shower colors are pink and chocolate. The mom wanted 50 of these. It's always fun to find people who want cake balls!

I made my second batch of cake balls today. They are chocolate cake w/ cherry extract. Some in powdered sugar, some covered w/ chocolate, the rest plain. I took them up to my friends job for the customers to sample. Her boss always has a dome of cookies out so I thought these would be a great exposure tool.

Chocolate fudge cake, chocolate frosting (the Chocolate Syrup Recipe - LOVE IT), chocolate ganache (Recipe I) covering on top, with cake truffles and melted chocolate drizzled all over. The gold is vellum sparkling paper. For our dear friend and neighbor who loves chocolate more than anyone I have ever met (even me)!

These are the first "cake truffles" that I have ever made! I made these for a potluck that my mom had to go to. I made chocolated coated chocolate cake ones, coconut chocolate ones and white chocolate coated strawberry ones. I was very pleased with the results! Thanks for all the ideas/help and inspiration!

Good old cake balls! The cake was van/caramel. The plain choc covered balls have cocoa powder, caramel bits, mini choc chips, and a dash of choc/caramel liquid cc inside. The ones dipped and drizzled with white choc have powdered sugar, toffee bits, and a bit of bc. The little balls in the middle are caramel balls. Can't wait to take leftovers to work for them to try (yes, there are leftovers)!

These are cake "truffles" I sold (yeah) to a friend at work for her to take as a dessert to her family's Thanksgiving. There are 45 of those suckers in there. I made a label to stick on top wishing them a Happy Thanksgiving and listed what each kind was. She liked it.

Well.. it is what it says :) 4 kinds of cake balls inside a chocolate MMF covered cookie box :) Cornelli Lace that the tissue was supposed to stick to, but didn't. (Its smushed where I tried. :)Cake balls were: Dark Chocolate, White cream, Brown sugar cream, and Mint Chocolate. Yummy! The tissue paper isn't edible... just pretty :)

and... My idea came from agagnier's cake :) Very pretty cake. Thank you for the idea, what a good one it was
