Babycakes requested this cake for her baby shower because her baby's room was done in bumble bees. She found a cake similar to this one on this website. I made three one layer cakes and added the details. I also made the bumble bees out of fondant and attached them to popcicle sticks. She was very pleased!!

I used the pyrex glass mixing bowls to bake this cake. It sat about 1 foot tall and about 6 inced wide. I made the bumble bees out of fondant and the wings were rice paper. I also used a 2 part vodka and 3 part syrup mixture to make the bees shine. This is the easiest cake I have ever done.

This cake was inspired by a Debbie Brown book. I chose to alter it a bit as I needed to make a much bigger cake than what was called for and I had special critter requests. The cake consists of six 6" torted cakes with Raspberry filling and Butter Cream, covered in MMF. All decorations are MMF too!

My version of the bumble bee hive cake from this site. Carrot cake with cream cheese frosting and filling. Fondant bumble bees with gumpaste wings, on raw spaghetti so that the cake is entirely edible. The baby's room is going to be decorated with a bumble bee theme, so they wanted it incorporated into the baby shower cake.

The Bumble bee says to the ladybug--"Will you BEE my LADY?"--in honor of valentines day I made this cake, and it will be my first photo on cake central. The bee and ladybug's body was made from the sports ball pan, their head from cupcakes, their features(eyes, antennas, nose, mouth, legs, wings & body decor) is made from fondant. The grass is coconut flakes with green food coloring added. The cake is a choc raspberry w/ choc rasp ganash.

I made this beehive cake for my niece's Winnie the Pooh party. It's buttercream with fondant bumblebees. You can't really tell from this angle, but I carved a little hole in the front, and then covered it with black fondant.

This is for the same customer that had the pink tiara quilted wedge cake, second of their daughters 1st Birthday parties (Dad is in Iraq now) The mom LOVES yellow and she asked if I could incorporate daisies as that is the daughters room theme. That is what I did. Not exactly my favorite cake, I need practice with Daisies but it is still cute.

My son did this for his 2nd grade insect report due today. To make his model he asked if he could use Fondant. He did it all by himself, all my hubby did was cut the metal for the legs & antennas. He has his father's eye for detail. My Duff in the making. :o)

This beehive cake was made using the Wilton Wonder Mold. It is frosted in buttercream with fondant entrance. Fondant is white Satin Ice with black paste color added. The buttercream is tinted with brown and yellow paste colors. I didn't want to smooth the icing as i wanted it to have a more natural, realistic look.

I got this pan as a gift, first time trying it out so nothing fancy here. I think these would look so cute on top of a larger cake with grass. Have to try again..

This was a cake I built for my Son's 9th Birthday. It's a "Chub City" style rendition of the Transformer's "Bumble Bee Camaro". This is a 7 layer, carved cake. Buttercream, hand painted, with a fondant cover on the car. This is only about my 5th cake to make, so, it;s not a pro job, but it was FUN!!! Hope you enjoy.

This was my second cake (again, with VERY little help from my neighbor)! For my dad's 70th BD. The dates on the top signify special events in his life (his birth, marriage, children births). Thanks to CC for inspiration!

The frog is made out of a cupcake. I cut the bottom so that it would sit back and then piped the legs. The Bees are made of Junior mints with sliced almonds for wings.
