This is a two teir chocolate cake with chocolate fudge filling, frosted in buttercream. Branches made from chocolate frosting, and all other detail is from colored buttercream. This was made for my husbands work BBQ. I saw the other one's made...that were inspired by Martha Stewart, I thought they were so cute so I used those as my inspiration! The website was down last night so I winged it on the detail.

Argh! Yesterday was a bad day. I did the branch design on site when I set up, but forgot my sketch and the photo from the web I was attempting to duplicate. Had to do it freehand by memory so it's not quite what I had envisioned.

I also thought the bride was having a monogram topper, so I left the branches on the sides only. My mistake, no topper. I would have loved to have continued the pattern up to the very top instead.

This cake matches the bridesmaid's dresses that we will be wearing. I lucked out - I made the Buttercream Dream recipe from the files and didn't realize that it has a shimmer to it. When I colored the icing gray, it ended up looking silvery which matched the color I was going for perfectly. The topper is chocolate clay with chocolate piping. The cake is the Whimsical Bakehouse's "Freckled Mocha" cake with Bailey's Irish Cream flavored buttercream

Buttercream with real ribbon and a sugarpaste cascade of evergreen branches, holly, and white filler flowers. The evergreen was one of those things that you book and put off figuring out how the heck you'll even do it for a looong time and then all of a sudden it's due! I basically did is the same as pinecones but it's a lot more time consuming.

OK, so the picture was from InStyle magazine, a cool $15 a serving... And here was my interpretation of it...Two (two-tiered) 10" rounds on top of one another, and then a 6" on top. Fondant branches, gumpaste flowers on wire... Ribbon around bottom

This cake is iced smooth with buttercream. A friend of my moms daughter was very specific as to what type of flower and how she wanted the branches to vine. The looping branches on the bottom are to replicate her dresser when she was growing up. Leaves, petal flower sand lotus blossoms are all done with brushed embroidery. My first time doing this technique.

A three layer chocolate cake (8", 6", 4.5") with buttercream frosting. The tree branch and brown borders are modeling chocolate and the butterflies are all buttercream (they were quite a challenge with the heat wave the week I made the cake).

This was a cake made for a Relay for Life Christmas party. The Sac is filled with purple candy and purple ribbons (the Relay for Life colors). The ornaments on the Tree branches were all symbols for the Relay for lIfe. This was my first cake for the customer. She was so happy she gave me a huge hug.

Design idea is from 2006wilton book yearbook. Modified it because neither I nor the friend who wanted it liked the top - and she didn't need a three tier cake Buttercream with candmelt ornaments.

This is the cake I did yesterday. The bride wanted to incorporate the lace from her gown into the design as well as a branch of cherry blossoms. Flavors were amaretto mud cake with amaretto-espresso and mocha IMBC filling, covered in pink fondant with fondant lace appliques (brushed with antique silk luster dust). Chocolate fondant branch with gumpaste cherry blossoms. Cake was (2) 10 in cakes stacked, and an 8 in on top. I'll upload close ups of the lace and flowers also. TFL!

For my sister when she came home with her little girl. The idea came from a small wooden mobile that I gave her for the nursery. It was cute in person, despite the terrible writing.

This cake matches the theme of their wedding. They have cranberry branches and gold accents. WASC with raspberry filling. The branches are white chocolate. Note: Do not use white chocolate for delicate details on a 94 degree day. I walked out of the house and before I made it to the car the branches had already started to wilt. :( They still loved it though so I guess that is all that matters.

i love this cake! 7,10,13 square, fondant icing and hand painted birds, flowers and branches. I can't take all the credit, as my DH is the one who actually painted the pattern on it. the couple registered for some china that had a similar pattern, and they wanted the cake to match the china.
thanks for looking, all comments appreciated!

Did this one in bc. I think it was a 6, 10, 14 sq. Branches and bands done in fondant. Flowers and berries done in gumpaste. Both wedding cakes this week had branches and fall colors which was unusual for a summer time cake:)

This was a simple cake that got a lot of attention at the bridal show. It was made simply with pirouette wafer cookies and berry branches. My theme was a Winter Wonderland and I loved how this looked along with the other cakes.

This is a 8 / 10 stacked sinfully chocolate cake with caramel filling. The recipient was a 12-yo girl who was completing her chemo therapy, and her parents threw her a huge party bash. The girl loves Japanese animae, so it was a Japanese party theme. I'd been wanting an excuse to do this cake, and I LOVED how it turned out. The client was extremely happy as well. RI flowers, bc branches.

Carrot cake covered in Cream cheese icing with MMF decorations. Inspired by an amazing cake by Talmas who painted buttercream on hers. I wanted to paint mine but chickened out. I got a little too crazy with the lustre dust. I wanted it to looked aged.
