My own spin on a couple cakes I saw here. Since I'm not good at making roses, I simplified it.

This cake, not one of my favourites, but very unique was covered in fondant, fuscia fondant and the beads were done in royal icing (colour-flow technique), and then dusted with pearl dusting powder. The cake topper is actually a Christmas tree topper.

This was for a wedding on the 2nd of September. All this girl was set on were the colors, she left the design totally up to me. She was last minute so when she came to order this cake she didn't even taste it. She called me the day after to let me know that when she got to her reception she cried when she saw the cake. She said it was absolutely beautiful and was very impressed.

Confirmation cake made for a friends daughter. I smudged her name for the purpose of posting picture since it was her complete name. I used the book pan and MMF for the rosary beads. It was the 1st time I made MMF and it came out too sticky but I will keep practicing. The crosses are candy molds. Thanks for looking !!!

The bride asked for snowflakes and ribbon so I made the snowflakes out of fondant using some snowflake molds. You can't tell in the picture, but I dusted the snowflakes with a violet pearl and rainbow sparkle dust mixture. To add a snowing effect I dusted some pearls with the same mixture and placed them sporadically throughout the snowflakes. Two things I learned making this cake. One: snowflakes are tedious and Two: I love rainbow sparkle dust:)

This is the present cake, all fondant. I marbled red fondant and white fondant together to get the "peppermint swirl" look. The fondant pieces on the sides are snow-flake shapes that I painted with gold luster dust. The cake was white almond sour cream (recipe from this site) with raspberry buttercream filling.

My first "official" cake order. Cake is spice cake with cream cheese flavored buttercream frosting, covered with MMF. The ribbon around the cake is also MMF. The bow and the curly cues are wilton fondant painted with super pearl dust. Round tip 12 for the border. My friend got this for her boyfriend's daughter's birthday. She absolutely LOVES it!!

A cake for my husband's birthday. I tried to make a buttercream transfer before I found out the right way to do it. So one of the butterfly's wings broke a little when I tried to put it on the cake. It was supposed to be in the center of the cake but it landed where it landed, you never know with these butterflies :) ...so I didn't dare to move it to the right place.

This cake was for a friend of mine. She is extremely simple and didn't even want a topper on the cake! I would have definitely prefered that she had something on the top, but I think it turned out okay considering the design.

This is my 3rd attempt at a cake. I made a dark chocolate cake and used the buttercream dream recipe I found on this site. The beads I made earlier this week and tossed them on there for the fun of it. I was trying to see if I could do swirls. I think my frosting was too melty so it was tough but I look forward to my next try which will be soon!!
Thank you for looking everyone.

For chinese wedding - White cake with raspeberry and vanilla buttercream layers. Topper means Double Happiness, a traditional Chinese wedding icon, and sides of the cake are long life and luck. Spray is to give idea of fireworks. Border is missing and was not not possible to add as it had to be done at location, and restaurant was extremely uncooperative in giving me any space needed for 15 minutes to build it.

This cake turned out to be a nightmare. I was very disaapointed in the cake and didn't have time to remake it. The MMF was too stretchy and I couldn't move the swag once it touched the cake. The fondant had holes all over it. I don't know what that was from. Thankfully it was a small family event for my brother and his fiance'.
