Here is an alligator cake. It's my first sculpted cake. I used an all butter buttercream and it's melting! :( I also used the spray wilton colors for the first time and am not thrilled with the results.

This is a 3D croc shape ontop of a 9X13 cake that I made for a 6 yr old neighbor. Used M&M's on the crocs back. Also used some as rocks. The cake went along with the B-day theme....They served Aligator meat at the party!

This weekend is the Peter Pan themed party for my 2 kids. They love to sing the Tic Toc Croc song, so I went with that. (Song is "Never Smile at a Crocodile") I'm going to make a post with instructions and pics step by step for anyone interested.

For my sons' 7th birthday party, a safari theme. I baked the cake the previous day and had one hour to assemble and decorate it right before the party because it was took big for the fridge. Afterwards I learn that buttercream doesnt have to be refrigerated due to its high fat and sugar content. Had i known that, i would have done it the day before, and given a couple more hours of my time to smooth the sides, and add more detail. I ran out of icing and the green candies making his spine so i improvised.

This is my very first BCT! I saw this cake on CC and managed to find the same image on the web to use as my transfer. The kids were so happy to eat their own name!

Sugar Cookies with Antonia71 royal icing recipe. Did 40 of them. LOTS of work but very worth it when everyone at the baby shower saw the cookies plus the matching cupcakes.

Best Picture I have! I am so upset. I worked so long & hard on these and I did not get a good picture of them. The full length pic is too far away and it is of the back of the arrangement because their was a huge picture window behind the cupcakes making it hard to take a pic!!! ugh!!! elephant, gator & lion - all BC.

I made these cupcakes for a dance teacher's birthday. She is wild about Lacoste shirts and the Lacoste logo. I did the logo freehand, so it's not exact, but she got the idea.

He turned out looking more like a dragon or alligator, but he was a huge hit anyway! He's made from Vietnamese Honeycomb Cake ~ a new baking experience for me ~ and covered in Baker's Buttercream Icing (thank you again, SISTER!) His eyes are butterscotch rounds with AIRHEADS accessories...teeth, nails & scales.

The alligator is just a toy that I bought and laid it on the top. I wanted the icing to resemble mud. So I just mixed several colors and dragged a toothpick thru the icing to make it messy looking.

I made this cake for a class assignment to design a child's birthday cake. I thought kids, especially boys, would like the idea of a swamp.

The body is yellow cake with a almond BC filling. The head, arms, legs and tail are all RKT covered in BC then in Fondant. I had less than 24hours to make him and this was his 3rd head so while I would change A LOT of things (like the mouth, sleeves and legs) I am without a doubt happy about the results. The dowel was removed after transportation.

I must give LaJuana a million thanks for her help and her inspiration.

This was carved from some oval cakes and shaped to look like an alligator. It is difficult to see, but the background underneath him is a swamp.

This was my first time using fondant. I used MMF to mold the animals, palm trees, rocks, and for the waterfall. Bottom tier was 12" square, middle tier was 8" round, and top tier was 6" round....all white cake with buttercream icing.

I took ideas from the entire jungle cake collection here on CC....which numbered more than 20 cakes. Thank you to everyone who has posted a picture of a tiered jungle cake, as you inspired me!!

This cake was for my oldest daughter turning 7. She wanted an alligator cake. I couldn't talk her into anything else. It turned out alot bigger than we needed so I cut the head off and gave it to the neighbors

I found this idea on another site and thought it was so funny. When my sister-in-law said she had bought 8 blow up alligators to decoratre for the family reunion, I just had to make it. They loved it. This is made with the party hat cake pan - how clever! Now I leave a pan out to see what else can be done with it. Two cup cakes were used for the eyes & it DID NOT fit in the Wilton cupcake/sheetcake carrier.

This was done for University of Florida fans. The tail and nose are rice
krispy treats. It is all fondant. This was a challenge to get the shape. The credit for inspiration goes to tuggy and her gator cake and many others
who have done one .
