This cake was made for my aunt's 46th birthday. The cakes are chocolate with whipped cream filling and covered in whipped cream. I airbrushed them and then put final decorations on by piping more whipped cream. The happy birthday tag is made of gumpaste and then the words are hand painted with food dye gel. These cakes are supposed to lot sort of like a stack of presents. It was fun to do.

This graduation cake was a vanilla cake with pastry cream and strawberries inside. It is covered in whipped cream and has some airbrushed buttercream roses. The base of the graduation hat is cake and the top of the hat is a piece of foam board covered in tissue paper. The small purple flowers are royal icing as are the letters.

This is a chocolate cake that has a "hill" (also chocolate cake) and a hot tub (made of vanilla cake). The people/dog are made of fondant and the hot tub water is piping gel and the bubbles are meringue. I airbrushed the cake too.

This cake was made for my cousins halloween/birthday party. It is a vanilla cake with chocolate pastry cream and covered in vanilla buttercream. I airbrushed the color onto the cake and made the letters with royal icing ahead of time. The cauldron is made of cake and then covered in black fondant and dusted with petal dusts for the old look. The green goo is colored piping gel and the eyeballs, bones, ghosts, cat and pumpkins are made of fondant or gumpaste.

I made this cake for my aunts birthday. The theme of the whole party was black olives and she wanted black olive pizza to eat. So, I made a black olive pizza! This was a vanilla pound cake with vanilla pastry cream and covered in buttercream. Then I put a thin layer of marzipan on the top of the cake and a ring of marzipan for the crust. I airbrushed the side of the cake as well as the "crust" and "sauce". Then I topped it with the fondant "cheese" and "olives! It was fun to make and eat!

This was done for my nephew's birthday. He loves sharks, and the photo was taken by his grandmother on a scuba diving trip! Background is airbrushed just to add some color, I don't like to have a harsh white background all the time!

I can't believe how well the sketch AND the stencil turned out. I was pretty happy with the way it all turned out. Mainly the dragon, the rest is kinda same ol' same ol'.

This was for my godchild and niece. The invitation was her picture as an angel. Not happy with how the face turned out but I love the overall effect. This was the first time I created my own stencil and the first time I airbrushed on fondant. The board is covered with thinned royal icing.

This cake was baked in a Pyrex bowl and covered in MMF. I airbrushed the fondant with pearl dust and added the lines in ivory. The wheels and accents are all in gumpaste. I didn't know how to get the gumpaste to roll out properly as I have seen on this site in other pics (letters made of gumpaste). I couldn't get a long enough piece. Any ideas would be welcome. One wheel broke beyond repair. I would probably use an edible image to do the door next time instead of painting it on.

This is a cake that I did for s project class that I am teaching in April. The cake uses fondant, airbrushing, molded gumpaste, hand painted accents and luster dust. The coral and sand dollars are made of royal icing and have airbrushed color or luster dust on them to add color or highlights.

We used to do this one all the time at Publix bakery. Airbrushed effects with "silly string" sides as confetti. A simple easy birthday cake for anybody! (butter cream icing)

This is a cake I did this past weekend for a friend. The cake has gladiolas made of royal icing, then airbrushed to add depth and darker color. It also has an edible image on the cake of the person I made it for. The sides feature a triple bead border done in white and violet to match the color of the flowers.

This was done for a young man turning 16. I have done many baseball cakes ine the past, but I did not want this one to look too childish. After searching my clip art, I found this baseball player, and used it to make a BCT. The background is airbrushed.

This is an 11"x15" marble cake with buttercream frosting, covered in MMF. I made all decorations out of MMF. Little Lizzy Joe likes the Care Bears but her Mommy doesn't. So, she asked me to make something in between teddy bears and Care Bears. So here it is! LOL

The birthday boy's party theme was sealife, and he requested a killer whale on his cake. The whale is a FBCT. I was so excited when I got to the party with the cake because the airbrushed background matched his tablecover perfectly...it even had the same color coral reef (completely unplanned!)

This is for a man who just put a pond w/koi fish in his back yard. I found the picture to the left on the internet and used it as the inspiration for the cake, though I changed a few things to make it more masculine and reflect the colors of his fish. BC with airbrush.

Cake was airbrushed, then added buttercream flames (striped bag) and buttercream outlines. Luster dust on his control panel, black sprinkles. Not happy with this....Vader looks all crooked and I'm not sure the flames look good around him. The decision to use the black sprinkles looks better on the real cake than the picture, but......oh, well. It's for a 3ry old, hope he likes it.

This cake was decorated during a power blackout. Since it was too dark to color icings to make decorations, I used various fruit snacks and assorted colored Tootsie Rolls to make the burger toppings. The bun cakes were covered in rolled fondant and airbrushed. The burger was a big, fat fudge brownie.

This was a cake I made for my co-worker who just got approved to start an entomology lab. It's an airbrushed flesh fly complete with fondant wings, larvae, maggots, and eggs. The finishing touch was an edible image of a nasty set of jaws. I will post the front view.

3-d Garfield Cake made using marshmallow fondant and a 2 lb bucket of satin ice I had sitting around. I think I used all together probably 3 pounds of fondant! Garfield is sitting on a 9x13 sheet cake. I airbrushed the color on Garfield and his blanket and his wood box he is sleeping in.
