This is my first attempt at a carved/3-D cake. We can't afford to buy a real Xbox, so I made my husband and his friend a cake instead. There are some amazing XBox cakes on this website -- thank you for the inspiration.

This is a birthday cake I made for my brother-in-law. It was supposed to be an xbox 360 but I had a little trouble with the mmf so I had to change the look of it a little. I told my BIL that it was designed especially for him. His birthday is December 15th. That's where the 1215 comes from. The controller is made of rice crispies and mmf.

I made this cake for my son's 8 th birthday party. It's half chocolate & half vanilla cake and the controller is a cake also that I carved from a 6 ' round & it's a vanilla cake. Both are covered in MMF and have chocolate frosting. The boys at his party just went crazy they couldn't believe it was a cake. :-)

Here is my uncomplete XB0X 360 cake. I am upset, because I did not take a picture of the finished cake. The controller turned out very nice.

This is by far my most popular cake. I've done this cake at least 5 times this year. The TV is 3 stacked loaf cake with 3 dowels to keep it in place. The controller was carved out of a mini loaf pan and the Xbox was carved from a 8 inch square cake. After I got my technique down, it was very easy. It use to take me 3 hours to decorate, now it takes me 1. All buttercream icing.

My husband and I planned a get together with friends to celebrate the release of Halo3 on Xbox360. (Our favorite video game series, since we are both nerds!) Not exactly my best work, but it was a last minute idea. Photo-shopped and laminated Halo3 image with buttercream icing. Originally intended to be a one layer 11x15 sheet cake- but realized that I didn't have a cake box big enough. So the end product is a halved 11x15 stacked :P

For the new Halo 3. This is my VERY first try at frozen buttercream transfers. I guess this is my practice. I just went with my mistakes. I iced the back too thick so the transfers are on pretty thick but I thought it looked like I meant to that. Anyway, proud I am. All buttercream on a 1/2 white 1/2 chocolate cake.

(Figures and guns - plastic. Game image printed on paper.) Playing on my son's sense of humor Master Chief and this arbiter here have come across a big plasma screen TV with XBOX 360 and Guitar Hero set up on it and have decided to lie down their guns and play!

Birthday cake for my husband's 30th birthday. I only had three hours to do it so the fondant isn't very smooth. Oh well...my husband loved it.

Grooms Cake-- all fondant. The controller we made out of rice crispy treats. My brother has a real Xbox 360-he lent it to us so we could make the cake/controller the exact same size as the real thing. It turned out really well. The groom was so excited!

This cake was made for a group of video gamers that play together in online competitions. The name of their 'clan' is the New Jersey Union and this is a replica of their logo, the xbox 360 controller, and their favorite gun. All buttercream with mmf decorations. Controller and gun are RKT covered in mmf.

This was my very first cake. It was supposed to resemble an X Box 360 for my nephew. Time was limited, so I didn't get to put as much into this cake as I had planned. He was thrilled with it and that's all that mattered to me.
