Need a scratch cake recipe that will hold up for a character pan.

This is for the motorcycle pan.

Anybody got anything good? thumbs_up.gif

Well, I have used doctored up cake boxes for character pans because they may bake better since they are so oddly shaped... I tried a scratch cake recipe once for a character cake and it burnt in some areas...

I am a 100% scratch cake baker except when it comes for character cakes for that reason... icon_smile.gif

If you want to go this route, then use a cake mix for yellow cake and then add one extra egg and 1 box of vanilla or french vanilla INSTANT pudding mix to the cake mix. It holds up pretty good.

I used it for a stand up Bear Pan and it was wonderful... It didn't break or anything.
