Will the colors bleed if refrigerated on an edible image? I bought one at the bakery and they said that it should be okay, but I dont know if I should refrigerate the cake once I am done decorating?

Well, I am not too knowlegable on these, but I did a few searches on a few sites that sell them and they don't recommend refrigerating cakes decorated with them because the colours may run due to humidity changes.
Try a search on" can I refrigerate a edible image cake" and you will see. Funny thing is, you can freeze a cake with one on it, go figure!

Yes...some of the sites say don't refrigerate them and some say refrigerating will prolong them (the look) after they've been placed on a cake. I refrigerate all of my cakes that have an edible image because I think it keeps the image looking nicer but you don't have too. I haven't had any trouble with colors running either way. I've never frozen one though.

Thanks for the answer, Lisa, I didn't know what to say, I haven't put one in the refrigerator or frozen one after it was on the cake! Good to know about refrigerating! Janice

The best printer to make them? I think the Canon iP3000 (4 cartridge) but the iP1500 (2 cartridge) is good too.

Refridgeration and freezing is fine. If you freeze it though, make sure that your cake box doesnt collect condensation when thawing causing drips from the condensation on to the cake.
