I would use the semi sweet chocolate chips. If you are going to pour the over a cake you can take a tub or can of store milk chocolate icing put it in the microwave for about 30 seconds to a minute stir and more over your cake. Sorry don't know if this will help not exactly a chocolate expert.

I don't know what brands your WalMart carries but the ones around here carry the Ghirardelli chips and bars... they make a pretty outstanding ganache.

The baking chocolates work well too. As with any chocolate, it pretty much comes down to a personal preference of flavor... y'know some people love Hershey's or Baker's, etc. but others can't stand it.

Whenever I'm making something where chocolate is dominant, I buy the best that I can afford.

Just remember if you are going to use the "bakers chocolate" DO NOT buy the unsweetened one icon_surprised.gif
Get the semi sweet. Actually, the Ghirardelhi or Guittard chips would be better.
