I have this pan and have never used it. I got it out today and am ready to bake a cake with it, but I am concerned about the instructions... it says to tie a peice of string around the pan to keep the top and bottom together. Won't the string burn in the oven while it's baking?

Any ideas or suggestions would be much appreciated!!

thanks in advance!!

I would think that you are supposed to use kitchen twine, like you tie a pork lion up with. I hope that made sense. I'll try to find a link to a pic of kitchen twine.
