I want to make my valentines day cookies now! I get nervous when working with deadlines sometimes. Plus I feel like making cookies and just don't want to wait. Anyone else feeling the Pre-valentines rush? LOL

Oh my goodness! You were truly reading my mind when you posted this topic! I got my cookie dough made up and am going to start doing the cutouts today because I don't want to wait another day! LOL..... I'll store them in airtight bags and then decorate them right before V-Day.

So, like you I too am feeling really antsy over getting them done and want to make them start to finish right now!!!

What a good idea! I know when I am anticipating something I can't sleep, I have rididculous dreams about the smallest details..... doesn't help to be pregnant either, then the dreams are extra ridiculous. I think I'll be busting out the cookie cutters.

I'm doing cupcakes for my office this year, but....I have 2 days to bring them since not all of my student workers will be there on the 14th! That means I can spread my creativity out a little longer, yay!

yeah, I did bake some last night, but the ones for my baskets need to be on sticks, and I don't have room in my apartment sized freezer for them! Oh well, just think, after valentines day things will slow down for a bit and then we'll be complaining even more!

Oh YAH I wanna try the RBC too! I love the flavor of BC, but I like the stackability of MMF or RI. I assume RBC can be stacked just like those after it dries. I am definitely going to try it!

Uh-oh! Now you are going to be highly addicted to decorating cookies. I started with cookies many years ago and am now learning to deco cakes, which I am enjoying just as much as the cookies. icon_smile.gif

Oh I know just what you mean. I just joined 2 or 3 weeks ago and can't get away from my computer! icon_rolleyes.gif Just tonight I went to the recipe section and printed out a stack of "filling" recipes, only the ones with 4 and 5 star ratings. CC is a wonderful resource for all cake and cookie decorators and I LOVE IT! icon_smile.gif

I'M EXCITED!!! and a little nervous...so many cookies! haha. antsy is such a great word to describe this feeling.

I just can't get the cookie thing. I am going to need a lot of practice.

My biggest down fall is I can't stop eating them while I bake them. Sugar cookies is the only thing I make that I can't control myself. You don't even want to know how much weight I put on over the Holidays, all from sugar cookies.

I don't mind making them I just don't like to decorate them. Maybe that's why I'm not good at it.
