Which recipe do you find BEST for making flowers like dasies or daffodils
and things like that. I havent done much and never took a class on this. Just learning from scratch. What do you think of the Wilton online instructions for fall flowers? I would love to learn to make some of the pointsettas and some of the ones that I just dont think look good in buttercream. My daughter, Bird95, wants to learn but I cant help much at this point because I dont know enough. PM me if you have any extra advice or sites I can check into.
Thanks a bunch

Hi tirby,

I use the Wilton recipe for royal icing flowers. And though I took all three Courses offered, I missed the royal icing class in Course 3 and made the lily nail flowers, including the Pointsettias, on my own. It was pretty simple to do with the help of the booklet given in class. I'm assuming that the instructions on their website are the same. If not, you can purchase the classroom book at Joann. I used the same recipe for the daisies and daffodils we did in Course 2. Daffordils happen to be my fave flower out of royal icing to do icon_smile.gif

Give it a shot! Making royal icing flowers, for me anyways, is fun! icon_smile.gif

HTH!

I just am finishing course three where we did all the royal icing flowers. They are alot of fun to do. the wilton recipe is just fine for the flowers. The wilton directions are good too - the angles are always the hardest part for me! Good luck! thumbs_up.gif
