Hello!

I'd appreciate any tips you might have if you've used piroutte cookies on a cake.

I plan to do a round cake with buttercream icing with piroutte cookies all around the outside, possibly tied with a ribbon. Any suggestions or is it a pretty simple thing to do?

It is very easy. Get a good coat of frosting on the outside to hold the cookies. If you use a crusting icing, add the cookies before the crust forms. If you need to trim them to fit, or for making them the same size, use a very sharp knife. If you still end up with any ragged cuts, you can cover it up with a nice border.
