I have a bride that wants a 3 tier cake for 150-175 people. She said that I could also have a sheet cake in the back for extra servings if we needed it. What size should I make the tiers? I am completely new to cake servings.

TIA

Thank you

What size cakes look better together. 12", 10" , and 8" or 14" 10" 6"?

I really don't have a clue. This will be my first wedding cake it isn't until May but I want to practice.

Thanks,
Kim

Don't forget that the couple usually wants to take the top tier home for their anniversary.

As for which sizes look better together it depends on the cake design. If you need lots of space for decorations on the side you may want larger spacing, otherwise the 2" spacing between pan sizes may be enough.
