Hey I just have to share this with ya'll....

Wedding cake weekend is this weekend on Food tv.. I was watching it last night but only got to watch the last 15 min. or so because I forgot about it being on. My friend, my daughter & I were watching it oooohhhhhing & ahhhhhhhhhhing at all the cakes. WELL the camera went over to show the judges tasting & talking about the cakes... My teacher that taught me all the Wilton classes was on there as a judge!!!!! I said OH, my gosh, that's Mrs. Gayle. My daughter said No, mom, that's not her. Then they went back to her & sure enough!!!!! It was her!!!!!!! If anyone saw it she was the older lady w/glasses, w/ gray hair pinned up, w/ the red (or was it pink) dress on!!! Her daughter was also a judge. Her daughter teaches culinary arts (I think that's what it is) here in La. at one of the colleges. I was so excited to see someoen I knew on tv!!!!!!! I can't wait to call her on Monday & tell her I saw her. I sure hope a re-run comes on soon because I missed most of the show!!

Did you watch the one that came on tonight? I really liked the way they showed the close ups before cakes were decorated, during the decorating process & the final cake. They are pro's but they still have to fight to get it right too! I kept telling my family through the whole thing, "I can do that, I can do that". They used the same methods we do! Isn't that great! I liked the oriental mans cake (can't remember his name) & Colleen's cake. They were all good.~ Just think... one of us might be on something like that one day!! The skies the limit!!!!
