I am going to make a dummy cake for my website...to hopefully promote some Wedding cake orders.

Anyway.... I would like to do it in all brush embordery. Does anyone know where there are some great designs or templates??? A book or web site???? Any good ones using a cooking cutter???

Anything would be helpful.... icon_biggrin.gif

Thanks

Ok, since no one has responded here are my 2 cents..lol

if you are good at free handing you can sort of line draw some flowers onto your fondant. If not...use your cutters for "lines"...

Then with a 3 tip pipe the outline, sort of in a round...like a zig zag but instead of going up and down you go around and around...do one petal or area at a time..

then with a nice brush you have dipped in alcohol or lemon extract....pounce it on a folded paper town first so you don't put too much water on your royal icing...

you work the smallest bit of icing from the INSIDE edge. Let all of that dry. If you want to "build" up your work some more..you add a little more royal to the areas and proceed to do the same.

Just make sure that you use enough extract or alcohol to "erase" any piping or brushing strokes.

You can get better info in Colete Peters books.

Actually...I know how to do it...I just wanted some new designs to try. Everything I have seen has been basicly the same.

But thanks for the info. I did get some designs from an Embrodery web site I am going to try! So I'll post the cake when it is done.

Thanks again
