You know I bet people along the Gulf Coast and Florida will be glad when hurricane season is over! People in all the Gulf states and Florida have had a terrible time this year. Our prayers are with you. Good luck.

Ohh, yes, please, keep praying for us and with us, cause last time, around my area we were out of power for 3 days and lots of trees on the streets, we were lucky, but still it was unpleasant.
Yes, anxiously waiting for hurricane season to be over... icon_confused.gificon_cry.gif... then I`ll be very happy! icon_lol.gif

Thank you for your prayers I live in the Gulfcoast of Florida, I am 1/2 hour from Naples and 45 minutes from Port Charlotte. When Hurricane Charley hit, I had just moved to the area a month prior, yes we are tired of hurricanes! But again nothing to do, but get prepared as best we can, and pray, pray, pray!

I am definitely praying for you guys and keeping an eye on this one. Our best friends are having their wedding down in S. Florida this coming Saturday in a town called Clewiston...that's where the bride's from, but she lives here. Her & her family are just beside themselves with worry. They say that Clewiston is just a bunch of flat-lands and everglades...lots of opportunity for winds to do their damage if it's still pretty strong when it goes thru their area. DH is best man in the wedding & said tonight that if we need to go down a few days early to help clean up then that's what we're gonna do....but maybe it won't be that bad. Hopefully all of you who are staying have prepared the best you can & can hang tight until it's outta there! God bless!!

We are just starting to get the bad weather from Wilma. I am on the east coast in St Lucie County. That is north of Palm Beach which is where the eye is suppose to move over. We will get pounded the whole time the system moves over the state of Florida.

Made a a chocolate khalua cake and brownies yesterday.

We are all boarded up and just waiting. Never got repairs done from last years hurricanes so roof is not so good. Lost electric for five days the first time and two days the second after last years hurricanes.

Hope to be back on soon.

well we got lucky were Im at. some rain alot of wind. only good thing got to open the windows up this morning. had to help my neighbor this morning part of her fence blew down. had to call her and wake her up to tell her did not want it blowing around and causing more damage. what a funny site 2 womens trying to move fencing around with the wind going about 50mph. but we did it. DH got up and went to work this morning. got there at 6:30 to be told to go home and call back later on to find out what to do. came home only to go back to work at 8:30 talk about not fun. only fun thing is I have been making fondant roses all morning long. finished them up and now I am working on chocolate roses. hoping the weather will not effect them setting up. was DH idea to make the chocolate ones he was looking at one of my cake books and saw a picture of them and wanted me to make them for him, im such a sofyty. Ill let you know how they turn out.

My prayers go out to you in south FL. Everyone here in the panhandle is feeling some of the effects. It is very windy outside today.

My heart also sank when I heard about Alpha out there. I hope we don't get to letter B.

My prayers go out to all of you guys in south FL.

My mom, dad, sister her family family lives in Hollywood Florida. They lost power this morning. I was able to get in contact with them via cell phone but at noon that stopped. The last I heard the roof had already blown off of the apartment building where my sister lives. (Thank god she does not live on the top floor). She lives on the first and had some flooding. My mom (who is a nurse) is stuck at the hospital from last night. She will be there tonight and probally tomorrow. A least until they can get other people in. My moms house is fine.

I will keep you guys posted.

Hey Guys,

My family is okay. I was stuck in the hospital working for 20 hours. sunday night to monday evening. Was talking to My mother when shutters covering the sliding glass doors were ripped off. ( around monday morning about 7am) Power is out all over Florida. Just now got power. Have lots of trees over. One gigantic one at the hospital (must have been at least 100 yrs old.) Hope everyone gets power soon and are okay. Take care everyone.

Hey all. Glad to hear that everyone has come through relatively well.

We just got power back about an hour ago. Lost it yesterday around 10 a.m. We are the lucky ones. Still plenty without. Lots of wind damage. More shingles off the roof. Trees down and that kind of stuff.

Have a brother in Miami and another in West Palm think they both got worse than I did.

What with the cool weather it was hardly like having a hurricane at all. Seems funny to have gone through that and not be sweating. icon_smile.gif If we have to have them, this is the way to go. lol

Well had power for an hour then it went out again. Went to bed early to dark to do anything. Woke up with a start because the power came on again around 2:30 am (because one light was on from before; what a wake up call.

I hope cybourg that your brothers (family) come through this relatively okay.

Take care

Kristy

Thanks Kristy. Everyone is OK. Mostly trees down and that kind of stuff. Brother in WP needs a new roof just like we do. Brother in Miami needs yard clean up. We were all very blessed to not have any major damage.

We had phone service then lost it. Have dsl though so need to figure out why we don't have any phone.
