Hi there...someone offered me a free Canon printer so I accepted and I asked for the model number. She told me it's a COMPAQ IJ300. Is Compaq made by Canon? Any computer geeks out there?

I basically wanted it for the edible images....do you think I can use it?

Thanks!

I'm pretty sure Compaq is HP not Canon. It won't work for edible imaging. Also if someone wants to give you a used printer, if they used regular ink in it it can't be used for edible imaging.

Compaq was merged with HP. Canon is a separate company. If it is an IJ300 it is a Compaq.
