I know this is going to sound stupid, but I cannot figure this one out.
My oven has 4 shelves and I am always confused about whether shelf
2 or shelf 3 is actually the middle.....Can anyone give me the correct answer.....

My convection oven has four shelves, too. According to the manual, the 2nd shelf from the bottom is the middle. The highest shelf is a broiler shelf.

Thank you for your help. My oven is conventional. I have baked on 2nd and third shleves because it has been confusing to me...I'm always afraid that the lower rack is too close to the heat....But then it seems to take longer on higher...Duuuhh...
