I just found the courage to post my pict. So it my first CC cake pict. I know it's not as to die for as the others I've seen, but it's my best so far.

I had a little problem with the roses, and when doing the last rose I changed the tip so it went from jagged edge to smooth edge. Anyone had this problem before?

Let me know how I can improve. The design is from wilton course 1 book.

I'll be waiting. icon_wink.gif

I think its beautiful! Your roses are great and so is your bow. I still have trouble getting my bow to stand up that good. I can't even tell that your roses have a jagged edge. They look fine to me. The tip may have been pinched or something. If you still have it you could try opening it up a little and see if that helps.
Can't wait to see more of your work!
Keep it up,
Heather

WELL DONE!! thumbs_up.gif Your cake is so pretty!!! I love how your textured it - did you use a paper towel? Don't be shy in putting your cakes on here - some of mine were from a long time ago and it is fun to see how you progress. Your roses look great too - I am not very good at roses - yours are much better icon_smile.gif

I can't understand why it took you so long to post it...your cake is very pretty. I especially love the texture on the top. I'm looking forward to seeing more.

I love the cake and The roses look fine. I experimented with adding a bit of piping gel in my stiff icing to prevent the jagged edges. It works for me. You can give it a try and see what happens.

Geesh, it looks perfect to me kiddo! Like was mentioned, adding piping gel or opening up your tip a bit can help but I honestly don't see a jagged edge on your roses, they look perfect! Kudos!
