I need a little help. I am planning on making sugar cookies for my daughter's Halloween party. Here are my problems:

I need a recipe that will make soft cookies that maintain their shape when you cut them. Maybe it is the thickness that I need to adjust in order for them to maintain their shape.

What is the best icing recipe to use for "all over" frosting!

Thanks in advance.

Lisa

Try the No Fail Sugar Cookie Recipe from this website:

http://www.kitchengifts.com/nofailsugarcookies.html

I've used it several times and many here like it too icon_smile.gif

Also, antonia74's Royal Icing for Decorated Cookies is great too icon_smile.gif It's posted in the Recipes Section icon_smile.gif

HTH!

I highly recommend the no fail cookie recipe at this website:

http://www.kitchengifts.com/

I have made it twice now and had great results. The cookies stayed the same shape and size that I cut them. They were soft and not crumbly at all. The cookies are posted in my pictures.

The best frosting I have tried was posted by Antonia74 and is under royal icing here on cakecentral. It got hard but was still soft enough not to be rock hard. Everyone that has tasted them said they were very good.

Hope that helps.
