Nancy, this is none of my business and please feel free to tell me so, I could be wrong, but it sounds like you have thyroid cancer? I am just asking because it runs in my husband's family and I know a bit about it.
At 26, you don't have to always be brave and be strong because you are the oldest. For that matter at any age you don't have to do this. You are who you are, you feel how you feel. And sometimes everyone needs a bit of help kiddo!

Please know that you will be in my prayers.
I would have to say that cancer is about the ugliest word ever, dealt with it myself a bit and some family members also.

Keep thinking positive and on the days that you are having trouble, log on here to cc and there will be many of us to talk to and hopefully give you some emotional support. John, that goes for you as well.

I'd also like to say that if I lived close enough to you that I would come over and help you whenever you needed it! Squirrelly is right, you don't always have to be the strong one.

Hi Nancy........
First of all I want you to know that you and your family are in my prayers. Cancer is hard on everyone...the person who has it and the family. In the last 8 months I have had two of my brothers die from cancer. I believe your husband may be having a hard time dealing with his beloved wife being sick again and is afraid of what may happen. He is scared for you, your daughter, and for himself. But you all must talk and support each other through this trying time.
I truely believe in prayer and in God.....and with his grace all things are possible. I just want you to know that my thoughts and prayers are with you.

Nancy,

I'm so sorry to hear that the cancer is back! It's true that God never gives us more than we can handle. We don't know why you've been afflicted again but you are apparently a strong willed person and that's the kind of person that keeps going every day! I truely admire you for sharing with us and I will keep you in my prayers.

Thank you everyone,
I took the weekend off to regroup and was overwhelmed by the response when I came back.

I just wanted to take a second to say it again in case I missed someone. I really appreciate the love, support, and encouraging words that were left by my family here at CC.

Thanks once again
Nancy

Nancy,

There is nothing I can say that has not been said. I will be praying for you and your family. I must mention though that I know how it feel to be the strongest one in the family. Everyone depends on you, well atleast me, for everything. This actually sent me into depression cause I was taking my three sister's and two brother's burden, all older than me and with families. You have to remember that you can only do so much. Yes, you must be and stay strong but when you feel you need help you must say so too. Remember to get enough rest, if the house gets dirty and you don't have any help, leave it, rest and then you can come back to it.

Remember, prayers move mountains. Here on CC we will all be praying for you.

God Bless.

Nancy,
It is very unfortunate you have to go through this but we are all here for you if you need us. I know exactly what you're going through. My aunt had lukemia more than 10 years ago. Then last October she was diagnosed with breast cancer. It was a horrible thing to watch her go through all over again and I wouldn't wish it upon my worst enemy. My aunt was very lucky because she was scheduled to start chemo only a week after her oldest son's wedding and she is now holding up very well!!!!!

May god bless you and keep you well!!

Hi Nancy!

I know you'll have a VERY tough road ahead of you and I'm sure you'll be as strong as you and your family can be through it. I come from a family where almost everyone has had cancer with a few exceptions (thankful for the exceptions). I was in the hospital myself close to my daughter's b-day (for spinal menangitis, not for cancer) and know what you're going through over her birthday. I was there for a while and when it was about the day before or so, I told them, "Release me, I'm not missing my baby's birthday!" However, your situation is far different. Fight this now, so you can be there for her next birthday and then make a big deal out of it. OR celebrate it early? You're a smart woman, I'm sure you and your hubby will think of something. icon_wink.gif

Also, I have a great all-natural recipe for you that I hope you enjoy:

5-6 Large tomatoes peeled and diced (peel them by boiling them in hot water until the skin crack, let them cool on a towel and pull the skins off)
5-6 Fresh Basil leaves, chopped
3 large garlic cloves, minced
1/2 cup olive oil
3 TBSP. red wine vinegar

Mix the ingredients together in a large bowl and let marinate for 3 hrs. Serve over freshly cooked angel hair pasta and enjoy! SO good!!!

I checked the ingredient labels here, and according to the limitations you gave, they should be good to go! I hope that helps and keep your chin up!
